330 ml stubby bottle, as Waterloo Triple 7, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Very pale straw coloured beer, huge white head. Nice aroma of grassy and herbal hops (Saaz and Spalt), also some mildly spicy notes. Refreshing flavour, light bodied for its strength, some sweetness but not too much. Some herbal notes, the hops are noticeable. Easy drinking.

Not my favorite kind of Blonde Beer, calling it a triple is in my 'belgian' opinion somewhat overdone.
It has a ABV of 7,5% and it goes down quite easy, altough a bit overcarbonated, I had to be carefull no to burp all the way with this brew. I woun't be drinking this one again because the whole experience is a bit 'light' and very neutral. And then you have a whole description on the bottle that this 'd been the beer the soldiers in the battle of Waterloo gainded strenght on... wtf? Poor sodds...

A: Very bubbly yellow pour with a massive amount of head. The lacing and retention are beautiful.

S: Very spicy aroma that is full of clove and banana. Very sweet, dominated by Belgian yeasts. The balance seems to be a bit off.

T: The taste is pretty balanced surprisingly, but exceedingly average. Malty with a baseline of Belgian yeasts and banana. Nothing jumps out and grabs you. It seems like it wants to taste better, but it doesn't.

MF: Overcarbonated, but it does go down easily. It's medium bodied on the tongue with no booze noted at all.

O: Easy drinking triple that won't blow you away, but is a nice introduction to the style. I can't say I'd buy it again.

330ml bottle. Apparently 'allied troops' drank this stuff during the Battle of Waterloo. Now who would that be, given current military terminology?

This beer pours a hazy pale yellow hue, with two fingers of thin foamy white head, which settles at a due pace, leaving a ring of ebbing lace around the glass. It smells of fruity malt, a bit of funk, and earthy, drying hops. The taste is sweet grainy malt, wild yeastiness, some tropical, yet still generic, and meaty, fruit, leafy hops, and a mild warming alcohol. The carbonation is soft, and very much in the background, the body medium weight, and not un-smooth. It finishes clean - moderated sweetness amongst a soft, edgy, multi-pronged dryness.

A pretty decent tripel, the booze well integrated, and fruity in that balanced Euro manner.

Poured 330ml bottle into a chalice within best before end.

A:
Slight hazy honey-dark orangish hue with rich white frothy head that well retain and leave massive lacing ring around the glass along its downwards passage. Carbonation is high and fizzy also yield plenty of small roaring bubbles pile to the head.

S:
Upfront by yeasty and fruity ester reminiscent of plums, prunes and raisins strengthen by bready malt, honey and somewhat peppery.

T:
Fruity and citric zesty take a lead reinforce by sweetness from malt which is slight bready. Hop also there to balance the fruity and sweet portions of this brew by lending a touch of mild bitterness and some spice.

M:
The body is medium, semi-smooth mouthfeel, fizzy high carbonated and dry finish.

D:
Well sipping beer. Alcohol is well hidden. I took very short time to consume it all very tasty and high drinkable.

Cork and caged 0.75cl bottle, best before 12 Sept 2011, drank on 15th Jan 2011.

Golden body, white head, looked good.

Citrusy, yeasty aroma.

The taste also fairly citrusy and yeasty, very pleasant.

Impressed, light bodied but with a kick.

Very easy to drink, more please!

330ml bottle bought from GapWines, Belfast...

Poured a nice clear light golden colour. Creamy head poured big and foamy with a meringue like topping which then faded to light wispy covering. Decent amount of carbonation bubbles drift to the surface.. very little lacing..

Aroma - Spicy Belgian yeastiness, strong slightly tropical fruits (pineapples, oranges, some strawberries, lemons), peppery, some vanilla notes, freshly cut grass, marzipan, floral honey, sea salt notes...

Taste - Nice biscuity malts and Belgian yeast, good fruitiness (apples, oranges, some pears, light pineapples), good pepperiness, alcohol is just noticeable, honey / sugary sweetness, light anise, medicinal, some almond traces...

Feel - Pretty sharp and dry... light / medium bodied... fairly drinkable...

Overall - A pretty good if fairly run of the mill Tripel... worth a try though...

Drank from my Duvel Tulip.

A - Pours a slightly hazey light golden colour with a white fluffy head that retains ok.

S - Plenty of yeats and citrus.

T - Plenty of passionfruit citrus flavours, and some bready ,malts. has a little boozeyness to the finish.

M - Plenty of carbonation and a light to medium body.

D - A very safe Tripel, but not in the elite.

Extra 1/2 appearance point for the attractive bottle and label. It increased my enjoyment of the actual beer.
The beer in the glass isn't quite as attractive, though. It poured yellowy and clear, with some white foam, into the glass but--blast it! Sediment!
But wait, it isn't just yeast lees; there's bits of hop leaves in there! Well, then, that's not so bad after all.
The taste is quite good. Sweet but with a really nice hoppy and yeasty balance. Finishes clean and bitter. Nice.
To sum up then: surprising, and good. Quite good.

A- The beer has a golden body with an abundant white foamy head. The bubbles and the colour gives this beer a sparkling champagney look.
S- The nose feel is plain, yet satisfying. A hint of citrus among other smells that are native to a belgian Triple.
T- As you take the first sip, you are welcomed with a great taste, not over complicated, but a balance of citrus, malts and the slight aftertaste of alchohol. A pretty tasty beer I must say.
M- With a big head that disappears quickly after the pour, you are left with a thin layer of foam and lots of carbonation, the beer feels sparkly, but it goes in smoothly.
D- This beer masks the ABV well, so it's safe to say that you'll be ordering another round after the first one, but overall it's more suited as a session beer.

Personally I'm glad I got the chance to try this hidden treasure since it's hard to find good Belgian beers in Israel.
Recommended!

A: Beautiful dark golden with a thick head that susides the more i fawn over it. Nice big, sudsie (is that a word) bubbles that invite and then dissapate. What a little tease.

S: All i get is a wee bit o'biscuit and a mild aroma of the orange. The yeast pops it's head up for a cameo as well.

T: Yeast and malt are at the fore with the hop profile bringing up the rearguard....get it? Rearguard...Napoleon...Waterloo?
Anyway... pilsner malt and the wheat are marching ahead.

M: Slips down with a wonderous carbonation that does a David Copperfield if you swirl the glass too much.

D: Goes down like a Belfast-built liner in the North Atlantic. Love it. It's like lolly water! (Forgive the idiom). Perfect in Summer and as apt during the other three.

Treads that fine line between Tripel and Blond, hence the name, no shit. Have a go at Tripel Moine and you'll know what i'm espousing. Childishly simple.

I love the wank attached to this beer , regarding it's provenance during the Napoleoninc wars. Probably a load-o-oul-shite but makes for intresting reading. Vive la bier!

The color is pale gold, it offers a nose of citrus and green apples. The taste is pungent and spicy but still quite drinkable. Hops is fine, mouth slightly bitter, soft and bubbly. Despite its name three times, it recalls a more Strong Pale Ale and more particularly to the very good Triple Moine / Deugniet the same brewery. Unlikely that this is merely a coincidence.

Had a bottle of this at a cafe in Brussels, served in a chalice. Waterloo tripel is a chill hazed god with a small white head leaving scattered lace.

Smell is yeasty and slightly floral.

Taste is dry and yeasty, a bit sweet, with a saison like mineral bite, very good.

Mouthfeel is creamy carbonation, dry and light.

Drinkability is high, at least on this occasion, as a happy tourist in Belgium. Very yummy, light and refreshing.

This beer pours a yellow,golden colour with very decent carbonation that leaves lots of bubbles and lacing all down the glass and has a two finger creamy head,it smells of bananna,cloves and bready/malty characters just like someone said below almost like a crystal hefeweizen and on taste you can taste the bready,doughy,malty characteristics but definately no hop bitterness at all,i dont know if this is a pure tripel but neverless a very easy drinking beer which you forget is 7.5%.

A yellow, golden beer with a thin but creamy head, that has moderate carbonation.

Smell is phenolic and has cloves and exotic fruit as well as bready yeast.

Taste is phenolic, this tastes like a crystal Weizen, a sweet mouthfeel, combined with a yeasty and bread dough taste. The beer lacks any bitter or hops and should not be classified as a tripel. A dreadful Leffe blond clone, with the same sickening phenols and cloves. Not awful, but boring and with a low drinkability.

BB 21/11/09, served lightly chilled in De Dolle Oerbier's long-stemmed goblet.

A: pours a quite clear, dark orangey golden body full of lively and fine carbonation, a semi-thick (2cm) white pillowy foam has brilliant retention
S: refreshingly spicy with plenty of dusty notes upfront, underlining intense, almost syrupy, tangerine-ish fruit esters, candy sugar, and a good pale malt basis. Not extremely complex but the hops and assertive edge of sourness makes a really refreshing aroma.
T: a super-refreshing and spicy foretaste comes with lots of fruit esters (mainly passion-fruits and sharp tangerine syrup), then the dry-ish palate of Golding-like hop bitterness develops along with a moderate but deep-running taste of bready malts... The sour tinge constitutes the key part in the flavour and body, almost as the gravity, which along with the dry and even chewy palate in the long aftertaste make the beer utterly drinkable and inviting.
M&D: refreshing yet quite smooth due to the fine fizziness, medium-bodied, alc. well-hidden, plus the fruity-yeasty main theme, this Tripel Blond really hits my soft spot that I simply can't resist wanting for more!

I purchased two bottles of this beer from the Belgium Shoppe. I poured the beer into a large tulip.

A: It poured a bright golden yellow with a robust two finger white head. The sticky head consisted of varied sized bubbles. The head lingered for some time and supported an uneven lacing.

S: It initially gave off odors of sweet lightly toasted malts followed by bready and yeasty aromas. There were hints of white fruit (bananas, pears) and whiffs of spices (white pepper and all spice).

T: It began with creamy rich and sweet malts and white yeasty flavors. Those were followed by flavors of bananas, pears and ripe sweet apples and slight zings of flavors from the hops that tasted like hints of white pepper and nutmeg.

M: Medium body with plenty of carbonation and a clean warm finish.

D: The flavors were somewhat unbalanced but overall it was a very decent and drinkable tripel.
