The selection at time of my visit was not that great but that does not mean the place was not awesome. I went a little late and it was not very crowded. Like I said the selection was not that great but the ones they had were very good. The ESB was very good as well as their blonde. When we came their pale ale was still in the tanks and we were told they would be avalible in around two days. We were only in town for the night so the bartender was kind enough to give us a sample pint out of the tanks. It was very foamy but still very good. The service at this brewpub was better than anyplace I have been. The bartenders were very cool and just hung around with us talking about beer and basically convinced us to indulge in their selection. It made for a very fun night and a very fun experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

Visited in August 2012, reviewed from notes.

Situated in the heart of Greenville, I stopped for a couple of drinks at Blue Ridge while waiting for the rest of my party to go out to dinner. The bar wasn't lit up very much, yet it still felt like a "hick" bar as opposed to an urban brewpub one might expect in Atlanta or Charlotte. It was a Saturday afternoon, so the place was fairly dead. The hostess was brain dead, but the bartender was nice enough. I started out with the Big Willie barleywine, and it was ho-hum. In fact, everything about my visit could be described as ho-hum, as the best part of my time there was watching Olympic power walking.

A very average and forgettable brewpub experience - I did not stay for dinner as the menu looked mediocre. Visit only if you like to tick brewpubs too

Easy to find on the main drag through downtown Greenville, right across from the Hyatt on Main St.

8-10 outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Brew kettles are right up front. Long bar with a combination of tables and booth seating options also available. Private room in the back.

Usually 4-5 beers on tap. The stand-bys are a blonde, ESB, American Pale Ale, and a stout. The stout goes by the same name as the Foothills version in NC, but the Foothills version seems to taste better to me. All of the beers are decent, but none are outstanding.

Food is really, really good though. Nice sandwiches, pizzas, and some fairly wild (literally) entrees. Try the wild game platter. The bacon pizza with whole garlic cloves is very good, too.

Service is attentive, but for some reason always seems to be a little slow. The servers are all very nice, though, and most are knowledgeable about their product.

One of my favorites when I visit town.

this is a good restaurant with average beer. the restraunt's atmosphere is its best selling point. it's right in downtown greenville, and when you walk inside you feel like youre in a really cool brewery restraunt combo. we came for dinner and the waitress was very good, and took care of us and suggested good stuff according to our taste. the selection slightly lacks because their beer isnt the most amazing ive ever had, but it is drinkable. the food is good, and usually marinated in their beer which is cool. this is a good place to go for food, and if you want to try the beer go right ahead. good place.

I went to the Blue Ridge Brewing company twice during a weekend visit to Greenville, South Carolina in August 2010-once just for beers for a Bachelorette party and once for beers, lunch, and to get growlers to go to bring to a party.

I really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere of this establishment full with southern hospitality. There was indoor and outdoor seating available and there were plenty of high top tables and booths so a lot of people could be accommodated easily. The staff were very friendly during both of my visits and helped me pick the best beers to bring in growlers to go.

The beer selection was good although not exceptional. They had seven beers on tap during my visit, the imperial stout was incredible. The food was surprisingly good for pub food and it had a southern flare.

If visiting Greenville, SC, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company is a must-see.

Cozy enough inside, although kinda dark with low lighting and plentiful dark wood. The reflection off the copper kettles and pleasant staff helps brighten things up, though. The big mirror behind the bar somehow makes it seem more barlike and less publike (and in fact they do have a full bar and do a brisk business with the non-beer drinking crowd). The Table service is friendly and efficient, but the real beer knowledge seems to lie behind the bar. There are a few sidewalk tables as well.

The beer selection is somewhat hit and miss, both with the regular and seasonal offerings. Beers range from limp and uninspired (pales and IPAs) to shockingly excellent (the regular ESB and seasonal barleywine). They usually have the four regulars- blonde, pale, ESB, stout- plus one seasonal on tap. Pass on the blonde and pale, give the stout a try, don't miss the ESB.

The food is damned good, some of the best you'll find in a brewpub setting. Wild game, housemade condiments, great sandwiches, tasty pizzas, awesome pimento cheese made with smoked cheddar and minimal mayo.

Right in downtown Greenville, a couple blocks from Barley's Taproom

Walked in here with my brother, had their IPA (awesome) and their stout (also awesome). The atmosphere is a tavern-style type, with dimmer lighting and lots of wood tables. Outside also has a couple tables set up. Their food was awesome! Had a pulled-pork sandwich with slaw on top that really hit the spot. The menu seemed pretty delicious, a lot of BBQ and southern selections.

Not the greatest variety as far as beer selection goes, but the two that I sampled were really good.

Went here last night to grab some food and brew. This had been the first time I had visited this location in two years. The location and appearance of the brewery is awesome! As soon as you walk in you will see what I mean... Service kind of sucked this night with the server constantly disappearing for extended periods of time. However, when stopping other servers they were very helpful and knowledgable about their beer. So I guess it is hit or miss (at least I hope so). The food was excellent! Definitely try their 'Wild Game Sampler' if you get the chance. The beer was okay, but not great.

Since we have become semi-regulars to Asheville, NC we have made the 1+ hour trip to Greenville a few times now. Each time we have visited BRB to grab a bite and check out what brews they are offering.

A nice looking place from the outside located along the hip and clean Main Street in downtown Greenville.

Along the right wall are a series of booths, along the left is the charming looking bar and down the center run a series of tables. The entire interior is done in a very soothing dark wood.

A fun and interesting beer bottle mural of the lower 48 hangs on the wall towards the rear on the same side as the bar.

Service has been decent on each of our visits with no real complaint. Save the last time it took what seemed like forever to get our check.

Food has always been solid and quite filling for the prices. I like the southern sampler dishes.

Usually 6-8 beers on tap...to include a few BRB specials. Some of the beers are the same as Foothills in W-S, NC as the two places are sister brewpubs.

A nice place with solid beer and food in the attractive downtown area, what's not to like?

Nice old main street building. Very homey and comfortable. Lots of dark wood. It was the middle of the day though and dark. Some more lights would not have hurt. We stopped by for a quick couple of pints before my brother's dress rehearsal.

It was a Friday afternoon and absolutely dead but I liked the feel of the place. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. They had about a half dozen of their own offerings on tap. I will need to spend some more time here on my next trip to Greenville. Did not try the food but I have heard it is pretty good pub grub.
