330ml bottle poured into a pils glass.
A:
Pale straw color with rather small white head, it falls quickly and leaves thin film covering with decent lacing, high fizzy carbonation.
S:
The smell is grain, cereal, grassy hop, sweet bready malt and subtle acidic hint.
T:
Mostly leaning toward grain and somewhat grassy that yield a bit astringent and acidic note, end with malt sweetness and hop bitterness mingle trying to cut a sharpness of grain.
M:
The body is light, smooth, dry and clean, crisp yet refreshing.
O:
Nothing new here as it tends to be light and clean just staying on high drinkable side.

Pours a clear, straw color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, slight hop, hint of rice, and a hint of sweet malt. Fits the style of an Euro Pale Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong pale malt, hint of sweet malt, slight hop, rice/corn, and a hint of metallic. Overall, average-at-best in every category. This beer was exactly what I expected it would be.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Look – very light golden color, clear, with slow but steady carbonation and about half a finger’s worth of off-white colored foam that dissipates quickly.
Smell – much like a pilsener. Very dry and like cereal grains.
Taste – much like the smell, it tastes like a typical pilsner, albeit a tad sweeter. The cereal grain smell seems to come from the Thai jasmine rice, which may or may not influence the sweetness…not sure.
Mouthfeel – pretty well on the watery side, as one would expect.
Overall – not a bad brew, but not intriguing or thought-provoking at all.

I'll admit it. I bought this because of the name. Poured into a Perfect Pint glass.
A: Brilliant brass with great clarity and minimal carbonation. A small and soapy white head quickly falls to a broken film. Leaves no lace.
S: There's not much going on here. A corn syrup sweetness is the only distinct aroma I could pick out.
T: Very clean. A light sweet maltiness is followed by a balancing bitterness that has zero flavor. Finishes very clean.
M: The light body has tingling carbonation that aids aids balance, but feels too prickly on the tongue.
D: It's light. It's devoid of interesting flavors. But it also has no off flavors. It's certainly easy to down.

This "Island beer" as the bottle says, feels like it is definitely watered down and the closest comparison I have would be to say this is Thai's attempt to clone Budweiser. It is not completely horrible, bu is one of those beers you try just once. It is a very light shade of yellow, the head is too much, the aroma is extrememly skunky and it tastes very bland an non-descript. Great to try just once, so buy just one bottle before you spend on a whole 6 pack.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden with some bubbles rising and no lace to speak of. The bubbles are a little large for a beer this light...normally they are a little more creamy.
Aroma: There is a good bit of skunkiness in the aroma of this beer as I am sure is from the green bottle. I get the hops...in the skunk, but the malt is really reserved.
Taste: There is a little bit of maltiness to this beer and comes out as a mild honey-malt. Other than that, it has a bit of a medicinal quality to it to go with the skunk. There is a little bit of body to this beer, so it isn't super dry in the finish and lets a little bit of malt make it through.
Opinion: Obviously from my comments, this beer is a little rough. I assume that it is as much from the exposure to UV as anything. There is a little bit of specialty malt in here that says that maybe this is a tolerable beer when it is fresh.

A friend brought back one of these from Thailand... looks like a typical pale lager. It's in a green long-neck 330ml bottle. Pours a straw-yellow color with a fizzy yellow head. Good retention and lacing for a lager, at least.
The aroma is biscuity and slightly herbal. I can't pick up which (if any) adjuncts were used in this one. Again, for the style it's pretty good.
The taste is again, good for the style... clean, crisp and no bad flavors. Just grassy cold beer. It's nothing that's mind-blowing at all, but for a quick refreshment, I think this is a decent beer.
I could certainly see myself drinking these like crazy if I ever made it to the beaches of Phuket Island!

Pours a clear, straw-yellow color. Good head develops, nice and white. Lace is decent, retention is OK.
Smell is nicely balanced providing hops, malt, vanilla and a light citrus note.
Taste is a nice balance of hops and malt with a slight vanilla note.
Slightly watery finish and lightish effervescence detract somewhat from the overall enjoyment though I would drink it again. Quite good in toto.

Purchased this beer so that I could try a beer from Thailand. I came into it not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised.
Pours a clear yellow and looks about like a BMC beer. There is no head. The aroma is also similar to a BMC with some corn and yeast. No hops are present in the aroma and not much in the flavor. The flavor is corn with a little bit of grass. Basically your basic, macro flavor. Very light mouthfeel. Not a great beer, but better than I was expecting.

It was ok I guess. I had it at a thai restaurant and it does go well with thai food.
Appearance- light yellow, thin head, translucent, nice lacing
Smell- light aroma, couldn't really make it out
Taste- mil;d lager flavor
Mouthfeel- light body
Drinkability- ok with thai food but wouldn't drink it regularly

Pours a pale straw colour with a medium white head, thins out to a ring around the top, not helped at all by weak but steady carbonation. No lacing. Looks very dull.
Thin smell, virtually no malt. A lot of grassy hops but mostly just a soda water aroma. Smells acidic, basically like carbonated water. Unimpressed.
The taste is revolting. It has the palate of a backwards pilsener. Starts off, well, watery, while the mid-palate has bitter notes with a slight POW hoppy character, and then a thoroughly nasty lingering sweetness on the back. The flavours might be okay if the hops were at the back to truncate the sticky malt, but it's topsy turvy and as a result leaves me syrupy and sweet. Mouthfeel gets sticky at the back as well, but is not too watery, quite appropriate for the lager style.
Not very pleasant and not drinkable. A failure.

Phuket Island Lager pours a golden yellow with a white head from a green 11.2 ounce bottle. The aroma is grainy. The flavor is sweet and grainy, it has some cereal like flavors. Better than I expected, but I wasn't expecting much. A drinkable lager.
