A- Slightly hazy light amber. One finger of white, rocky head. Head retention is good, as is the lacing.
S- Spicy grain, light caramel, spicy/piney hop notes.
T- light grains up front. There are touches of butterscotch mid-palate. The finish is long and filled with spice and astringent bitterness.
M- Light bodied, dry, mildly astringent. Moderate amounts of prickly carbonation.
O- It's a rye IPA. It's aggressive and spicy.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours medium amber, thin foam, but some. Can see through a bit. Rye nose, moderately prominent. Bready too. Bitter open, light malt, minty close. On the lighter side. Caramel notes. Lighter carbonation. Smooth flavorful IPA, hints of rye.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a footed tulip.
A: Dark golden. Pours a 1 finger, tight foamy, head. Settles fairly slowly. Some nice beer ring lacing.
S: Earthy, some indistinct savory Italian spice, and a slight hop.
T: Crisp hops, pungent, peaty, and bitter.
M: Bitter with a very dry finish.
D: Sip and savor. The character will dictate it.
Atmosphere is pretty good. Nice head, and some decent lacing. Earthy and spicy nose with a strong hop. Hop flavor is crisp and pungent. Overall, this is a pretty good quaff.

Pours a clear gold orange color with lively bubbles racing up the brew to a foamy 2 finger off while head that didn’t move, fading very slowly and then leaving very good foamy lacing.
Smells of piney hops, herbs, rye, citrus, biscuit and some fruit which resembles citrus like lemon zest and orange peel; the rye jumps out up front but then gets mixed in with the herbals notes. A soft aroma for an IPA and it almost seems like the rye tames the hops a bit.
Tastes of spicy rye and piney hops up front, followed by herbs, citrus hops, biscuit, lemon, orange peel , grains, dry grass, floral hops or flowers and some spices like pepper and coriander; the aftertaste has more malt presence mixed with rye, and the hops fade after the initial blast of flavor. Not very hoppy for an IPA, but flavorful enough that it keeps your interest, especially if you dig the rye influence.
Mouthfeel is light and zesty with high, fizzy carbonation, a light to medium body, and a semi-dry aftertaste that is a combo of grains, herbs and rye. After swallowing the beer it feels like everything evaporated in your mouth.
Overall it was a good beer, not one that stimulated my taste-buds, but definitely a beer that I’d have again. It’s light enough that people could session it, as it hides the 6.4% ABV completely. This lacks the hop punch that most West Coast IPA’s carry, so I consider this a light IPA and closer to an APA. I’d order it in a bar but doubt I’d bring a 6-pack home.
