I went here a month ago because I was told by a Brooklyn Beer rep that they sold Brooklyn Beer.
Great selection here, they had one bottle left of Newport Storm 05' left. 90% wine, 10% beer on the selection. Don't get me wrong good selection.
People knew what I was talking about when I asked them if they had the 4 beers I was looking for so I give them a 5. They didn't give me a look like huh? I will come here again, because they are near by me.
They carry Dogfish, Long Trail, Rogue, Broolyn. They have a wall of german beers too.

Campus Fine Wines lies a short walk from Spiritus Fermenti and Wickenden Pub, strategically about halfway in between. It is a not a large store, but not nearly as small as Spiritus, either. There is a nice selection on the whole...nothing too rare or crazy, but it definitely covers the basics and then some. There is ample selection of the locals and more than ample selection of imports. It is well-layed out and the people that work there are friendly if not overly knowledgeable. However, with Spiritus right down the street, there is not all that much of a reason to shop here, because Spiritus' selection is so much greater.

This is a decent place. Walking distance from Brown University, this place has a nice selection of Belgian beers, and a smaller, but still respectable collection of NE regionals. A few sixpacks of Dogfish Head, some Harpoon, and some SmuttyNose caught my eye in particular. They made my day when they told me that I could purchase single bottles from any six-pack. Reasonably priced, too. The staff knew a *bit* about the beer, but couldn't offer much in the way of detailed information. Still, worth hitting up if you're visiting town looking to stock up.

This is the other liquor store on the East Side of Providence. Not a large place, but in square feet bigger than the other. The selection here is pretty good, more emphisys on import beer than on local craft brewerys. I did not see any Paper City beers. I did find Westmalle @ 6.99 per 12 oz. the staff here seemed eager to provide me with any beers that I asked for. I feel possibly more sales driven than actual. I had a lenghty discussion about getting Stone Brewing and even tho any deals for distribution in the state may yet be in the far distant future, they assured me they would be one of only 3 liquor stores in the state to get it. I feel that this place may be even higher priced that the other. I don't feel that Haywards 5000 warrents $9.99 a sixer.

i don't highly recommend this store. it's small and the selection of beers is just mediocre. also the prices aren't posted so you have to ask the cashier. and the place gets busy with college kids, particulary on friday and saturday nights.
it is close to downtown providence, though and probably the best beer store on the east side of the city.
also, the prices were not horrible, but not great, either. sixers of tremont ale were in the $7-8 range, but i didn't see any kinds of specials or discounts posted.
