12 oz bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada imperial pint.
6.4% ABV, no Julian date.
A - Perfectly clear and bright golden in color, Kiss The Lips has a nicely formed skim of ivory foam that, unfortunately, quickly diminishes leaving few dots of lace left on the pint.
S - Kiss The Lips' subtle earthy hop aroma carefully introduces grassiness and notes of pine through the caramel malt aroma for an approachable IPA nose but soft butter and creamed corn notes muddle the aroma.
T - Still mildly hoppy, Kiss The Lips shows off some sharp pine characteristics with traces of lemongrass citrus/earthiness following the malty flavor upfront. Pilsner sweetness and similar buttery notes come forwards but aren't as distracting in flavor as aroma.
M - The malty backbone of Kiss The Lips provides a solid support system for the feel with a smooth, medium body that works well to balance the dry, lingering bitterness the hops impart on the palate.
O - Kiss the Lips might not be the hop head's first choice when reaching for a potent hop-bomb, but this IPA delivers a nice lingering bitterness and earthy hop flavor while remaining sessionable for the long haul; an easy drinking IPA that goes down smoothly.

A - Crystal clear light amber/copper color. Very light body. Head piles up massively and takes it's time receding. Spider web lacing all the way down.
S - Pretty weak on the nose. About what I would expect in an APA. Caramel sweetness and citrus hops mingle together quietly.
T - Taste is a little more forward than the nose, but overall pretty bland. Bitter pine flavors dominate with a touch of biscuit to back it up.
M - It's actually really watery and almost flat it seems. I'm not sure if this is how it was intended to be or if I got a bad bottle but the body is as thin as a British comedy show's humor.
O - Not a bad lawnmower beer, but definitely not what I was expecting for an IPA.

As much malt based in the aroma as hops. The hops aren't the classic C's as far as I can tell and hold more of a grassy/herbal quality.
Fizzy off-white head with decent stamina. Body more towards gold/amber and slightly cloudy.
Malt quite apparent in taste too, although the hop flavors kicks in towards the middle and finishes strongly. Nice bittering without excess. A citrus like astringency on the finish - that goes to great lengths not to finish.
Lighter body and carbonated well. Body done nicely and shown in drinkability.
A nice solid drinker. Not a classic Am. IPA with a heavier malt character and atypical hopping. But, if offered take one, or two, it'll be alright.

A- Cloudy bright orange with a small white head that leaves nice lacing
S- Some citrus hops in the front accompanied by pine and pale malts in the back to keep everything balanced
T- Really bright citrus with an odd but enjoyable bubblegum flavor in the middle of the tongue. Nice piney IPA as everything else stands
M- Smooth first then prickly bubbles in the end leave you feeling refreshed
O- Very solid offering from Lake Louie

Reviewed from notes.
A. Amber with orange hued highlights and a receding foam collar that leaves behind a solid singly orbital ring of lacing around the rim of the glass.
S. At first bottle crack there is a strong odor of mandarin oranges, medium strength aroma of peaches, pineapple, and caramel / toffee malt sweetness and it smells great !!! Unfortunately the entire citric / tropical fruit house of cards collapses and evaporates away after sitting in the glass for a minute or so, never to be smelled again... leaving behind a standard boring grapefruit pithy malt-forward IPA aroma. Enjoy the aroma as quickly as you can on this one, it dissipates fast.
T. Yup, it's a malt forward IPA all right. Chewy toffee with musty orange rinds on top and lighter amounts of grapefruit pith. Also has a sort of hard-water mineral-like flavor accent in there as well. Finish is lightly dry but only medium long.
M. Lighter side of medium thickness and aggressively spritzy in carbonation.
This beer temporarily flirts with greatness but pulls too many punches and doesn't take enough risks to really stick the landing IMHO.
