Poured into a SA perfect pint glass, bottle not dated.
Pours a one finger head that has a yellowish tint to it, which is fairly interesting. Color is a burnt orange and is cloudy.
For such a strong tasting beer the aromas are difficult to pick up. Mostly what I get for a smell is a malty sweetness.
First off is a nice bitter hop, more piney and resinous than citrusy. Some malty notes in the finish but this seems to be all about the hops. The malts taste a little burnt, I like it.
This is a medium bodied IPA. The pungent hop flavor followed by the burnt malts leaves a strong lingering aftertaste. This will have to be my last beer of the night as I don't think I'd be ablet to taste any others.
Overall this is beer that hop lovers will enjoy. I do like the taste of this one but don't like how it has wrecked my palate for the rest of the evening. Worth a try for those who like strong hop flavors but wait till the end of your lineup to take down, it's potent.

Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a pint glass.
Pours medium bronze with a thick head of white foam. Grassy pine nose. Oily. Lacing everywhere. Light bready malt flavor that builds into a peppery hop. Smooth bitter throughout. Good IPA, very drinkable.

Appearance of this beer is a light golden color. It is very cloudy and has some sediment floating in it (little chunks mean big flavor!) It leaves no lacing against a frosted glass and has a very small head.
The smell is pungent and very hoppy with only a slight hint of caramel flavored malt. The hops are, and somehow are not, that classic pine and citrus, they have a different characteristic; very nice.
The taste is bitter beauty. Hints of grapefruit citrus behind the hops and then a slight, caramel flavored malt that teases the tongue just before the bitterness comes crashing down on your palette.
Mouthfeel is dictated by the bitterness. This beer leaves the mouth dry but with all of the flavor of the brew still present. Very nice.
Okay - I am a sucker for IPA's (my name should be a hint of this fact), but this beer is just different enough to set itself apart from the classic IPA taste. It is 6% ABV so it is easy to drink, bitter and tasty. Good one, try it, now...got it yet...no? Go get it!

A- Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head which leaves some good lacing.
S- It's a sweet smelling IPA. It is actually pretty interesting. I'm getting some nice piney hops up front but blended very well with fruitiness like citrus, and cantaloupe. Also biscuity.
T- Tastes almost exactly as it smells just with a bit more hop presence.
M- Very slick almost oily body with medium carbonation.
O- I really enjoyed this beer. It is one of the rare examples where taste is almost the same as the smell and both are very pleasant. I'm not sure how "wild" it is compared to a lot of the other IPAs I've had, but it is definitively a good beer to try regardless if you are an IPA fan or not.

12oz bottle in a pint glass
A - Pours a cloudy medium amber with a nice thick head that falls in a minute or two leaving some nice lacing.
S - I smell grass and yeast
T - This is an unusually bitter IPA. Not too complex. Less malt and more hops would have been better. But it drinks ok as it is. If I were doing a blind taste test I would swear this was a pale ale.
M - Not overly carbonated and a hoppy bitterness aftertaste kicks in after a short while.
O - This beer is definitely not on my favorites list by any means. I am glad I tried it.
Cheers!

Appearance: Extremely yeasty. Bright orange-brown in hue with excellent foam and lacing. This really looks old school.
Smell: Pine hops with grapefruit.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Grapefruit and a hint of caramel. Nice balance in the flavor. Mouthfeel is a bit watery in the finish.
Overall Drinkability: An old-school ale with excellent balance.
