Visiting from out of state - needed some provisions so let's see what we have.
Atmosphere: Mid to higher end grocery store. Nothing more than that. Clean, bright, and roughly in the middle of the store is a large wine department, and off of that, a large walk in beer fridge.
Quality: What's in the beer fridge is all over the place in quality. Macros and micros, domestic and imports. I've seen better, and I've seen far worse. I'll comment more on quality in the selection portion bewlow.
Service: Pretty much on your own, but they do have a flat $8.99 "make your own six pack" fee and provide 6 packs for you to fill up. So plus there. Otherwise this is a grocery store - no one to really help you unless you look for them, or are there for non-beer reasons (bakery, deli) in which case the service is fine. Nothing special.
Selection: As hinted at with the quality above, the selection is fair here, I've seen better and I've seen worse. All the major US macros are here, but for US craft, the selection hits Sierra Nevada heavily, along with Shiner, a few beers from local VA breweries (St. George and Williamsburg AleWerks), and some Stone beers. I think I saw Anchor as well, but just in singles. The imports are mixed in selection as well, from standard German imports (Warsteiner, Grolsch) to higher end stuff (Samuel Smith, Chimay). Overall - not too bad. I got a 6 pack sampler from St. George Brewery in Hampton which looks interesting.
Food: Well, it is a grocery store, and the selection and quality of the food is quite good. I've had the bakery donuts here before and once again, they did not disappoint. Wonderfully yeasty, chewy, and that just right sugary glaze. It is very easy to pair the right food with beer here.
Value: I thought everything was reasonable for what all we put in the cart and how much it cost.

This is a pretty standard grocery store. Honestly I don't see why it's even listed here, If your gonna throw Farm Fresh up here why not Food Lion and Kroger while your at it. The only thing that seperates Farm Fresh from every other grocery store in the Hampton Roads area is that they have an enclosed, chilled room devoted to beer, so all the beer in the store is kept cold. They have all your standard Macro brews and your big name imports, nothing to call home about, but then again next to Total Wine this is as good as Hampton Roads gets.
