Pours a hazy orangish yellow with a frothy white head that fades. The smell is mostly a grainy wheat with citrus and hints of hops. Big citrus and wheat up front, tasting of orange and lemon, the citrus sticks throughout the rest with the wheat and subtle hops in the aftertaste. This beer is dominated by the citrus though. The mouthfeel is medium light with larger feel of carbonation. It could be a little more crisp to add to the flavor, but still a very refreshing beer, has a nice amount of flavor but isn't overpowering. Overall a nice beer with good flavor.

Poured from can into pint glass. Got a little less than a finger of fizzy white head. The body is an opaque dull gold color, with some bubbles and lots of sediment. Head quickly died, left me nothing and no lacing.
Apple, wheat and light tangerine are my first impressions. Light malt and faint hops make their way into the nose quickly.
Weak malt and slightly funky wheat begin the flavor profile. This is complimented by the taste of apples that have just gone over and ought to be thrown out and some light hops.

Serving type: 12-ounce can. No freshness date.
Appearance: Poured into a 330 ml weizen glass. The color is hazy lemonade. One finger of buttery, white head dissipated quickly to leave a thin island of lacing in the middle of the glass and a thin ring around the edge.
Smell: It smells like canned, summer wheat. Apple juice and Tang-ish orange with some citrus hops. It has a hint of wheat but is mostly sweet and fruity. There is also a little banana and clove spice, too, so it is like hefeweizen light.
Taste: It mostly mirrors the smell. It has a beer-like mouthfeel, but the fruitness is a little off-putting. Apple juice, a little orange, citrus sourness, and some wheat-like grains. There may also be a hint of spice. As it warms, the beer takes on a much more agreeable and wheat-like feel: the haziness makes itself known.
Drinkability: It turns into a reasonable and worthwhile purchase, but there are many other (and better) wheats to enjoy during the summer.

Light yellow brew. Skim white fizzy head. No lace. Good clarity, some bubbles.
Light sweet grain note, some sweetness in the nose.
Nice sweet grain flavor. Not watery, full flavor. Light bitterness in the finish. Wheat, grain, lightly bitter -- a decent refreshing brew.
Light bodied.
Overall, not bad for the style. Nothing groundbreaking, but decent thirst quenching summer brew.

A: The beer is relatively clear pale straw yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that quickly died down, leaving lacing covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of wheat in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but is not overly complex with only flavors of wheat.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a great craft lawnmower beer because it is easy to drink and has some refreshing properties.

From a can stamped 0242 on the bottom. Sampled on June 16, 2012. The pour is a hazy pale to golden yellow with a small white fizzy head that disappears quickly. The aroma is pleasant with an array of wheat, yeast, and citrus zest on the nose. The body is light as a summer ale should be but my particular can had a slight acidity to it. The can did have a dent but it was the last one left when I bought it. The taste ushers in a soothing wheat flavor along with a zing of lemon and a nicely balanced mellow hop finale.

A: Pours a very hazy pale yellow in color. The beer has a finger tall white head that slowly reduces but shows decent retention properties eventually reducing to a thin layer covering the entire surface of the beer and a thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate lacing is observed.
S: This beer has moderate aromas of wheat with some lighter amounts of citrus, spice (coriander and clove), and light hints of yeast.
T: The flavor of this beer is a little on the lighter side with the primary flavors being wheat and lemon citrus.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Extremely easy to drink and quite refreshing (while enjoying the coast on a warm summer afternoon). This beer is quite sessionable and definitely enjoyable. Might be one to get again for the summer.

Poured from a can into a tumbler pint, the beer is a cloudy, unfiltered, pale yellow coloring with a thin, white, light head atop the surface. Aromas of toasted bread, bananas, and light clove spicing highlighted by an overall roasting fill the nose. Flavors are slightly muddled, with a creamy texture giving rise to a slightly roasted banana bread and clove blending that is balanced and easy to drink. Light, fruity and slightly spiced aftertaste with a smooth, light finish. The beer is a little too light at points in mouth to support the flavors, but an easy enough beer to drink overall. Good warm weather brew.

Appearance - lightly hazed, a dull yellow brew. A large finger of head with good resilience. Maintains a thin cover.
Aroma - primarily a grainy nose, a sidebar of yeast.
Taste - the wheat comes through clean and flavorful. Some light fruitiness in support. Ends evenly and a little wet.
Mouthfeel - smooth, slightly slick, somewhat muted carbonation.
Drinkability - a fine thirst quencher this summer, I wouldn't mind grabbing some more of these next summer.

Poured a cloudy golden color. Not too much head.
Smell is wheaty with some banana coming though. Pretty pleasant aroma.
Taste is nice and light. Can taste the wheat. Nothing overpowering though. Good flavor.
Mouthfeel is light. Nice easy drinking beer.
Overall a pretty solid beer. And really good for $10/12 pack. Definitely will buy this again.

A - Slightly hazed straw gold color with an average sized bubbly, foamy, whispy, white head. Average retention leaving a thin ring of lace.
S - Some musty tart wheat aroma. A hint of lemon. A touch of grassy hops. Nice aroma, but it is pretty limited.
T - Similar to the nose with slightly spicy and tart wheat. Some bready wheat and lemon flavors as well. Pretty simple and fairly bland.
M - Light body with average carbonation. Slightly smooth body.
D - Easy to drink and nothing offensive. A decent cheap summer kind of beer. Refreshing but kind of bland.
Notes: Bland beer but somewhat refreshing for a cheap summer beer. Simple pale wheat beer, nothing with a lot of flavor but it is refreshing. For the price and the fact that they can it makes it a nice summer beer, but other than that it isnt worth the trouble.

12 oz can from Byron's (on sale for Memorial Day)
A ~ Cloudy yellow. Huge head.
S ~ Sweet roll, Grains, Rice (mostly rice)
T~ Wheatbread, Touch of hops, Corn Syrup. Faint banana and honeysuckle.
M ~ Good. Not too fizzy, would go great with Pepperoni Pizza.
D ~ I like it okay. Nothing spectacular going in, but it's not too sweet like most "summer wheats." Good on hot day of digging in the dirt.

I found this single 12oz brown bottle at the Binny's store in Glen Ellyn, IL for $1.49. There is no bottled on or freshness date on the lable, but I know this is a summer brew and I am buying it in Deceember, so it may not be the freshest bottle around.
The beer poured a cloudy yellow color with no head whatsoever. A thin white rim was all I got for a head and even that disappeared in just a few seconds. Some minimal lacing did form on the sides of the glass with each sip.
The smell was nice. Even though the BA style dictionary says the American Pale Wheat Ale will NOT have the banana/clove smell to it like the traditional Hefe Weizen, this one had loads of banana smell to it along with other tropical fruit smells and a lot of wheat.
The taste was a real shocker. I expected all the fruit flavors, the malt, and the wheat, but what I didn't expect, and didn't like, was the high amount of bitter hops in here. A citrus yielding hop would have been great in here I think, but the highly bitter alpha hop oils in here did not blend well with the fruity taste at all. I did not care for the taste of this particular combination of fruit, hops, and malt.
This had a light to medium body to it, but a way over carbinated mouthfeel to it for my liking.
Most reviewers seem to like this beer, so maybe my particular bottle was mishandled or is over the hill, but if this is what it is supposed to taste like, then I won't be buying this one again.

Presentation: It was poured into from a 12oz can into a Weizen glass. The can offers no freshness date, abv or disruption.
Appearance: The body is hazy and has a nice orange/yellow glow in the glass. On top it keeps a small cap of white foam till the end which started off as a three finger tall covering. Lacing is slick and slides right down the glass as I drink.
Smell: In the nose I pick up notes of the wheat malt with some nice citrus and spicy earth yeast.
Taste/Palate: On the tongue I get hints of the classic banana and clove with some nice semi-sweet wheat and lemony citrus. The palate is right on with a nice average medium body and active carbonation.
Notes: This is a very solid American made German Hefeweizen.

Pour - soft golden straw-color with a wispy head on top. A little cloudy at first but this one settles clean and clear, even if it is unfiltered.
Aroma - grainy, lemony, some sweet orange peel and a little fresh cut grass. Not a whole lot of aroma but that is par for the style.
Taste - light and tangy. This has a great citrusy bite to it and a nice malt profile. Its nothing complex but I think that is it's strong point. Goes down way too easy. Put a cooler of these near me on a warm day and I'd be all set.
Overall - ridiculously easy to drink! I had my hesitations but Nude Beach surprised me. This was a solid brew with great flavor and a stand out for the style in my opinion.
Would I buy more of it? - I really dig this beer. It's very easy drinking and a great canned alternative to other light summer wheat beers (a la Sam Adams Summer).

I poured this one from a 12oz can into a shaker pint glass while visiting Three Corners Pub in Lemont, IL.
A= This ale poured a hazed yellow gold color with a 1/2" fizzy white head. The head dropped pretty fast and did not leave much in the way of lace/stickage..
S= Light wheat twang, moderate lemony citrus notes and a very faint fruity/ester aroma.
T= Started off with a kiss of malt sweetness before moving into some fairly assertive wheat flavors. The citrus notes in the nose carried through to the flavor as well. Hops were there but never in the forefront. Finished with a refreshing but slight tartness.
MF= Light to medium in body with a spritzy carbonation level that made this quite refreshing.
D= Very drinkable. In my opinion this is better than many of its competitors, including 312, Blue Moon, Shock Top, etc. Not a world class beer, but a good summer lawnmower beer nonetheless.

I asked indiapaleale, "Hey, CAN you Point me in the right direction on my CANQuest?" and he replied, "Sure!" in spades, if you CAN dig it. This is the third of four attempts to get the Point on my part.
From the CAN: "Stevens Point Brewery Brewing Excellence Since 1857. Point ^ Well Made."
Some semantics before we even start with the beer. As a high school English teacher, I often have to explain the difference between "nude" and "naked". Nude is artistic, for instance, I went to an art gallery recently where they had an exhibit of nudes from the 18th century. Naked is base, as in "Let's get it OOOONNN!!!" Get my Point? Nudity is not meant to be lascivious and even the CAN depicts a simple swimsuit-free day at the beach. Watch as I drink some artistic beer ...
My aggressive pour on this hot evening gave me two fingers' worth of orangish-yellow head that popped and fizzled like a jalopy that was about to run out of gas. The color was a cloudy orangish-amber, like fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. The nose was soft and gently fruity, slightly citrus, like tangerines or oranges. Mouthfeel was medium with a mild banana-tangerine sweetness on the tongue. It was more fruity than I have come to expect from the style, but it was still pleasant because the banana esters did not dominate. Finish was tangy, slightly citrusy, approaching dry. Not bad and certainly worthy of being in the cooler that also appears on the CAN.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz can.
A - Hazy, dark orange-gold with one finger of bone-white head.
S - Smell is a bit subtle, with tangy wheat, grainy cereal, and hints of vanilla and spice.
T - Thankfully, banana is more readily apparent in the taste than the aroma indicates. It's not too pronounced, however, and blends well with a bit of clove and creamy vanilla. There's also a restrained hop bitterness to complement the phenolic spice.
M - Medium body that's pleasantly smooth.
D - A nicely done American wheat from Point. I certainly wouldn't mind having it again, and it seems like it would be a good crossover for non- craft drinkers. Pretty good bang for your buck, too.

Appearance is orangish yellow in my glass and looks like it could be a refreashing brew.
Not much in the nose, but I enjoy its mellowness.
Tastes alright, not a huge amount of depth but it does have the apropriate flavor profile.
Really light in the mouth, mellow carbonation on the tongue that helps the flavor pop.
Drinkability is quite good. The fact that its not too pronounced makes it easy to drink many in a roll. A good pick for a session beer at the 8.99 I paid for the 12pk of cans.

12 oz bottle poured into a Miller Lite pint glass.
Appearance- An orangish and yellowish haze. I'm loving the haziness of this beer. Who needs to put an orange in a beer when you have the nice sediment flowing throughout.
Smell- Tons of orange with straw wheat wafting into the nostrils.
Taste- I'm getting lots of nice pale wheat that is offset with a citrus. The wheat and the seemingly whole oranges in the beer balance very well.
Mouthfeel- From the sediment of fruit you get a chewy mouthfeel with a nice light balance in the carbonation.
Overall- This is a perfect summer beer. It has the look, the taste and the lightness that compliments a hot summer day to a tee.

Found this beer here in Michigan in May. Don't recall seeing it before but because I've had Other point beers in the past and enjoyed them overall, especially since the point beers are not expensive. Nude Beach has been my go to beer this summer. It reminds me of German Weissbiers and is very drinkable. It's a bit cloudy with a good head and smells very fresh. Not bitter with a nice full mouth experience. Can't say enough good about this beer. Just hope they keep making it and don't change a thing.
