From 9/11/12 Tasting Notes
Poured from 12 oz bottle into Cheers mug. Served chilled...
A) Lighter amber with a finger of soapy foam. This settled fairly rapidly to a wispy dusting. No lacing noted.
S) Nice sweet malty/toasty aroma, light caramel, and some hops, which provide some grass/flower petal to the nose.
T) Near the nose... Very nice flavored Marzen. Bready, toasted cereal, light caramel sweetness, and nice grassy/herbal/floral hops on the backend. Enjoyable...
M) Lighter medium body, and I found the carbonation to be fairly light as well. This was a super smooth Oktoberfest, with a superb finish, very clean. Taste+Mouthfeel on this create high drinkability.
O) I came away pretty impressed with this offering from Point. This O-Fest is right up there with a few of my favorites for this time of year. I would definitely go for this again. Glad to recommend...

This was a very good Oktoberfest beer in my opinion. The taste and the smell of this beer was very good. It gave me a sense of what an Oktoberfest beer should be. The appearance of the beer was a brownish color, which was also very pleasing to the eye as well. I will surely drink this beer again in the fall months. It was a good beer for that time of the year.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a translucent orange with a tiny white head that leaves little lacing. Smells of dark roast grain, some caramel, but nothing else much, and quite weak. Tastes of some caramel and some chocolate, dark malt dominate. Beer is light bodied and has good carbonation, finishes very crisp. Overall, a slightly above average beer.

A: The beer is clear amber orange in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high beige head that died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of sweet caramel malts in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has some malty sweetness with flavors of caramel malts and notes of toasted malts. No bitterness is detectable, but they help the malty nature of this beer from becoming too sweet.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This would probably be a nice beer to drink outside during the Oktoberfest when it's a little chilly outside because it seems a little maltier and fuller bodied compared to other beers in the style. I liked the sweetness, especially since it wasn't overdone.

Appearance - Medium amber. Slight haze. Tall off white head. Somewhat persistent.
Smell - Medium roasted malts. Caramel and a little nuttiness spiciness.
Taste - Rich toasty flavor. Sweet and bready with only a hint of spiciness.
Mouthfeel - Medium. Crisp.
Overall - Solid Oktoberfest with a nice rich malty flavor and a crisp finish. It'd be easy to spend a cool fall afternoon drinking these.
