This place had a great selection!! My buddy and I stopped here on our way through town. Walking in, beer is straight ahead on the right. A giant cooler lines the wall with more than half devoted to craft beer... The shelves facing the cooler are mostly mix and match singles-- huge selection, with some beers being cellared for a year or two already. The singles prices were really high ($9 for a KBS, and $6 for a Founders IS, etc.). The next aisle over is filled with bombers. Overall, the store had all of the MI brewers I was hoping to find, and lots more.
They did have all the beers I was hoping to find, except for Nemesis... The kid tht helped me was awesome- very friendly and knowledgable. He checked the downstairs cellar/storage area for me 4 or 5 tomes and kept returning with stuff I couldn't pass up.
If you're looking for your daily drinker, you might be well-advised to head elsewhere, but if you're looking for rarities, especially if you're from out of state, this place is a must.

Great store that recently expanded allowing more space and a greater selection. Recently Tiffany's has started a mix and match six pack deal giving 10% off each beer in the six pack. There is a good selection to choose from, but they do nicely with the size of the place. This is, in my opinion, the best place to buy beer from in Kalamazoo. There is typically a good selection of local brews as well as seasonal brews.
They also have a large selection of wines. I don't know a ton about wines...perhaps I don't know much at all, but they have many, and the more expensive are in the lower level.

Great selection of beers from across the country and around the globe, especially for make your own 6-packs, usually even have 120 min IPA in stock. Also an extensive selection of cold beer, including almost all west Michigan area brewers and most of the big Michigan companies Better though is the wine and liquor selection which is the best that I have found in the entire area. Prices for beer are slightly high, as would be expected. For liquor the prices are not minimum but still very reasonable. I do not purchase enough wine to judge the prices, however the selection, as noted before, is superb. Never have needed help there but from my experience with purchasing the service seems pretty good.

Excellent beer store near the Western Michigan compus and 3 or 4 miles up the hill from Bell's. In the 6 months I've lived in the area has imrpoved and already good selection. All the big midwestern breweries present. Large coolers fully stocked. Also have a sinlges cooler in the back of the store. Real strong point is the expanding selection of Belgians they have going. Really stock an almost ful line of Unibroue also. Only thing they didn't have seemed to be Weste.
Service can leave a little bit to desired but the majority of the stock is on the shelves so you can decide for yourself. I'd be a little concerned about how fast so of the more esoteric or unique beers move but they seem to od a pretty good job

I visited this place on 8/29/2009.
With time only to stop at one beer store in Kalamazoo on a recent trip, I chose the Tiffany Party Store and am thrilled that I did.
I think this place draws its name from the fact that it is located in the Tiffany shopping center and not from the name of the owner (grin).
Upon entering, it was apparent that the store had a lot of stuff and it was all well organized. The beers were off to the right and stretched nearly the length of the store. Of greatest interest to me were two very long aisles, one containing Belgian beers and the other containing an impressive selection of single bottles and glass door coolers with a wide assortment of American craft beer six packs. I was happy to see the well known locals as well as smaller more rare Michigan breweries well represented.
The prices were getting up there but still fair. They have a deal where you can mix your own six pack of singles and they take 10% off the price. With such an impressively huge selection, I get leery of the age on the beer but everything I picked up has been in great shape / fresh. Service was great and friendly (they were there when I needed them and left me alone when I didn't. Its also worth mentioning that they have a great selection of party foods on hand as well - everything from prepared dips to humus to salsa, etc.
Overall a great place that could easily be a one stop shop if you are in the area.

I was told that this is the one must stop bottle shop in Kalamazoo...and yes, this is a great place to check out!
Kind of a Swiss army store...they seem to have a little bit of everything (beer, wine, hard alcohol, food). The beer can be found along the right side...a few industrial baker shelves make up aisles that house lots of imports, locals and domestic craft bottles. The import selection is quite impressive.
They have coolers along the wall (and a few more in the rear room) that have cold singles and six packs. There was also some center island type displays of beer scattered throughout the back room.
A few of the employees stopped to ask if I needed help...without being overbearing or pushy. Prices are clearly marked and easy to see.
If you are in town to visit Bells, you have to stop by here. Well worth a visit.

Best place to get beer in Kazoo other than at the Bell's brewery :-)
Store is large and is dominated by a long line of coolers containing 6 packs from places both local (Bell's, Kraftbrau (largest selection I've encountered outside the Kraftbrau itself), Great Lakes, and so forth) and foreign. Because of the dominance of 6 packs whole lines usually aren't present, but the selection is still quite good.
Main knock on the place is the anemic single singles cooler in the back with an inconsistent and rotating stock. Occasionally something really good will sneak in there (like Bell's Batch 6000) but most of the time it's a fairly static and unimpressive collection aside from the consistent option of Rogue. The shelves are quite a bit better though, many Belgians for instance, from 12 ounce bottles up to the larger 750 ml offerings.
Staff is fantastic too, and always willing to chat with you and make recommendations.

I stopped in to look for some regional beers that we can't get in Illinois and I left with several big boxes. They have lots of local beers in the many coolers and a good selection of imports there and on the shelves aswell.
The front of the store is meats cheeses and gourmet crackers but the back is beer, wine and some liquors. In the very back of the store they did sell some singles but not a huge selection.
I talked to the man who was working and he gave me the run down on what just came in, what sells like wildfire and some of his favorites for this season. He was a great help and a beer fan himself.
A great place for locals and imports brews.

I used to go here once in a while when I went to WMU...it was a short bike ride from campus. Now I stop by whenever I pass through the 'Zoo. I remember buying a bottle of Ricard pastis here back in the day when it was harder to find.
There are several hundred selections of Belgians and micros as well as liquor, wine, cocktail ingredients, etc. There's a little bit of everything, and lot of decent beer that is hard to find elsewhere. They do a nice job representing a lot of the smaller breweries in the region and the tri-state area (MI, OH, IN) that are hard to find, and these are typically what I stock up on.
While making my purchase, I got in a conversation with the manager and another employee. They were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. When I got out to my car I loaded up the treasure and prepped to head back out to I-94.
Suddenly I was overcome by a kind thought. I got back out, opened my trunk, and took out some bottles of WI microbrew. I always bring back a few samples to my BA buddy, but I had some extras and thought the Tiffany guys would surely appreciate it. I asked if they'd accept some, and they said no, but they'd gladly trade for it, which we did.
Stop by here when passing through. Prices are not cheap, but they go above and beyond to provide a wide selection that beats anywhere else I know around here. Come here for the special brews you can't find elsewhere, or to buy a wide array of Midwest beers and Belgians.

I was down in K-Zoo today and decided to stop by this store on my way home. The beer is in the back and doesn't seem to be the top priority here but the selection is simply awesome! Lots of Belgians that I have yet to see in GR (abbaye des rocs, la trappe, etc) The English selection and German selection were both good in their own right. Michigan micro selection was alright and the US micro selection was pretty bad.
The prices were very up and down. That should be fine for anybody who knows anything about beer prices and what they should be entering this store. I found some 22 oz Rogues for $2.99 and a 4 pack of Maredsous 8 for $7. On the whole I would say the prices were very good.
I got some help from a younger guy who seemed enthustiastic but not the most knowledgeable about the Belgians, which were the ones I had questions about. Seriously, there were a lot of Belgians that I had no idea about! The guy working the front had some Bell's stuff on but didn't seem interested in the beer I was buying and offered no help. Oh well, maybe he didn't know much.
The turnover might be spotty here as I saw a decent amount of bottles with dust. But all in all this place is a must stop if you are in the K-zoo area.
