Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of bananas, brown sugar. Taste is green apples, bananas, wheat, just a touch of sweetness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and decent beer.

Appearance - Pours hazy and dirty orange in color with a white, half finger head that fizzes away nearly as fast as its being poured, leaving a mostly barren surface.

Smell - The aroma is a little funky with green apple tartness, faint toffee, and a bit of wheat.

Taste - Notes of wheat and faint caramel/toffee off-set by an apple tartness that hits mid-taste and fades quickly, leaving a mostly bland, wheaty finish.

Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with low to moderate carbonation. Goes down well enough, but finishes a bit watery.

Overall - There's no bottling date on the bottle, so I have no idea how old this is, but it doesn't taste anything like how a hefeweizen should. Ugh. This could be a drain pour, and that's something I try to refrain from.

A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured into a weizen glass with a quarter finger high white head that died down, but continually left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface (replenished by the rising bubbles) and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of bananas and wheat are present in the nose along with notes of bubblegum and hints of clove.
T: The taste very much follows the smell, except that the flavors are a bit stronger—particularly that of the clove, which is most noticeable towards the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a good representation of the style, easy to drink and refreshing. I just wished it could have poured with a larger head and had more visible carbonation.

500 ml bottle into weizen glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of orange zest, banana, pear, apple, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, floral, grass, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy esters; with solid strength. Taste of banana, pear, apple, orange zest, clove, pepper, biscuit, wheat, floral, grass, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of banana, light fruits, clove, biscuit, wheat, floral, light bubblegum, and earthiness on the finish for a bit. Nice balance and complexity of bready malt with fruity/spicy esters; with good fruity/spicy balance, good robustness, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a creamy and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice Hefeweizen. Good balance, robustness, and complexity of flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Poured from a 500mL bottle into my Ayinger weizen glass.

Pale gold, lightly cloudy body with two fingers of active off white foam that settle to a persistent slick surrounded by a popped collar of foam. Gentle soapy lacing; average retention.

Bready, biscuity malted wheat in the aroma with a nice balance of banana, clove and vanilla. Possibly a hint of bubblegum as well.

The flavor reveals the balance to be more towards the fruity end of the ester spectrum, but not excessively. Sufficient IBUs to offset the sweetness, though no appreciable hop flavor comes across. Medium-finish with a touch of cookie.

Carbonation is high enough to have a bit of an edge to it, and yet doesn't provide much body. I would guess the wheat is 50% of the grist rather than a higher percentage given how light-bodied the beer is.

All in all, a good, properly crafted, unpasteurized weizen.

Poured at a good temperature with a large, foamy, frothy, off-white head that soon settles down and almost no lace. Hardly any yeast sediment. Color is a very slightly hazy amber with lots of bubble trails. Aroma is yeast, malt, clove, banana, bread dough. Flavor is like nose, a little shallow, a little sweet, but not bad; otherwise good balance between sweet, carbonic tang, and mostly yeast bitter, but also hop. Body and carbonation are average. Finish is like flavor, a bit long, and ok. Lots better weizens out there.
