Located close to the beach, on the main road near the beach front hotels on the north side of MB.

Above average selection. Several large cooler sections in the back of the store with sixers. Very nice selection of bombers, with high grav separated out against the wall between the booze side and the beer side of the store (welcome to SC!).

Picked up SN CF&K and Stone 14th, both nice finds and reasonably priced.

Not a huge store and a lot of macro product chews up floor space, but you will find a good representation of beers available in SC.

I was very pleased with myself when I walked out the door of this establishment with approx. 40 singles that I had yet to try.
They were an assortment of European brews and US micro's.
In addition, there were still quite a few left to pick up the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
Ofcource there was also the usual stock pile of national macro's available as well.
The staff were very friendly, as far as knowledgeble, I don't know as I made no inquires.
The selection could have been better but you can say that about every establishment, after all, who can have to much beer to chose from?
Will definetly return there again!!!

Not a bad place to stop if you pass by, decent selection. This used to be the best beer store in town until piggly wiggly came around guns blazing. Now poor greens looks a little dismal in comparison. Their prices are fair, they have a decent selection...but there isn't much here that you couldn't get at the pig...and the pig has quite a bit that you can't get here.
My only problem with greens is that their beer doesn't move very fast, so you have to double check your dates to make sure you are getting fresh suds and not skunk.
On a side note, you can find some pretty damn random beers here, and their belgian style selection is pretty nice. Check them out after you check out the pig at market common to get anything you forgot.

Standard liquor and beer store with a decent selection of individual bottled beers, every bottle that had a date was fresh that I looked at and this seemed to be one of the better sources for local SC micros had a nice mix of them. As well as the lower abv Belgians a slew of German wheat beers, and other lower in alcohol English ales due to the six percent abv cap in the state of SC. Selection as a whole was pretty nice I only wish that WV would someday have beers like this in a liquor store. Younger guy working was helpful in tending to my questions and helping me grab a keg from the back so I give this place a good score on that department.

Found my way to Green's based on reviews and recommendations from BA. It was a busy store on a Tuesday night but they moved the people through relatively quickly. Nice selection, lots of imported singles, domestic local single rack was pretty well picked over and could not mix a six. No dust was present on the bottles and it looks like they move their stock. Nice six pack selection, warm and cold. Also carried a nice selection of wine and go-withs. Other side of store has liquor. A nice store overall.

If you live in Myrtle Beach, this is about the only place to find a decent selection of crafts and imports. A friendly staff has good knowledge of the beers they sell and are willing to special order as long as the local distributors carry what you're looking for, which can be a problem sometimes.

About half the store is beer and half is wine. There's a liquor store next door. Most of the beer side is comprised of cases of domestics (Bud, Coors, Miller) and big-name imports (Beck's, St. Pauli, Guinness). There's also a big selection of Mexican beers.

Then there are two stacks of shelves in the middle with imports like Paulaner, Franziskaner and Pilsner Urquell and American beers like Flying Dog, Anchor and Sierra Nevada.

A couple of nits -- I wish the staff were a little more adventurous in ordering some of the lesser-known but interesting beers. And Green's has two prices for each brand -- a lower cash price and a higher credit card price. The prices are reasonable, but not cheap ($8.99 cash price for a six-pack of Anchor Steam; $9.99 cash price for a six-pack of Paulaner Munich). Don't break out the plastic if you can help it.

Looks dumpy on the outside but overall a nice store when taken into context.
Beers looked fresh and dates were good. Pretty busy but everyone was buying your typical BMC. One guy did ask where the Bass was and was pointed in the right direction. Another guy had just gottin off of work and was scanning the craft section with me. I did strike up a conversation with him about beer. He seemed reasonabily knowledgable and at least into craft beer as he took a sixer of Thomas Creek PA with him. He did try to tell me the Terrapin Cream Ale was the same as the Rye PA though. I don't know if he didn't know any better or was just trying to make a sell. Prices are reasonable....especially if you pay with cash. You get a discount for cash. This is pretty much the only game in town if you want to buy some craft beer in Myrtle Beach, overall it's a decent game, but unspectacular.

After a disappointing experience at Pawley's, my buddy and I headed to Green's, my pre-visit pick for my SC beer run.

Green's has a fuller selection of what I was looking for for area beers. More of the New Belgium line, the local brews, even the Thomas Creek stuff from Tennessee. And the Dale's...aahhhh.

Only these were far more reasonable than Pawley's at $18 per 12-pack. Now I'm thinking the guy at Pawley's was feeding me a line as the distributor is likely the same for both places. Regardless, I spent the bulk of my beer dollars at Green's and brought home some fine goodies!

The folks there are there as cashiers, so but the well-informed BA should enjoy a cruise through the aisles.

I decided to visit Green's again on a recent trip to Myrtle and was pleasantly surprised. Their selection has improved since my last visit a couple of years ago. It appears they have more turnover in their stock; the last time I was there, there were several out of date pales and IPAs. I did not notice anything obviously out of date this time. They have a good variety of US craft beers and a nice selection of imports. I'd still recommend the Market Common Pig for the best selection in Myrtle Beach, but you would be in good shape here as well if you were in the vicinity.
