A: The beer is slightly hazy orange amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a two finger high off white head that only died down a bit and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass. THe beer becomes very hazy and dark as you start pouring towards the end of the bottle.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of caramel malts in the nose along with some notes of pine resin hops.
T: The taste has flavors of caramel malts along with notes of citrus and pine resin hops. A light to moderate amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a well-balanced IPA that has a good mix between the malts and hops. The overall taste seems to remind of some of the better beers in the Mikkeller single hop series of IPAs.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a nice orange yellow color with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of earthy and piney hops, very inviting. Tastes of syrup and piney hops, quite unique. Beer is light-medium bodied and carbonated quite heavily. Overall, a slightly above average beer.

Very descent DIPA from one of my absolute favourite breweries but still, it cannot compete with the Titan IPA. So what is missing? I would say complexity and possibly also the finish, which is overrun by too-much cascade hops (?). Nevertheless a very descent beer from a brewery that never ever leaves you disappointed.

Just got this one yesterday. No freshness or brewing info on the bottle (hate that with an IPA).

A-Pour is a hazy amber with a huge frothy off white head with huge retention.

S-Very malty on the nose, perhaps a whiff of hops but not much there.

T-Very malty with a strong crystal malt presence, with a solid bitterness and a bit of orange zest in the finish. Solid but unspectacular.

M-Medium bodied, good lingering bitterness.

O-Pretty much just ok for me. Solid flavor, low on the aromatics.

A - 3.5 - Cloudy amber with a nice, thick cream head. Wasn't expecting sediment but there it is, the Heady Topper kind that looks like little white blobs. Great head, ugly body.

S - 3.75 - A pleasant if not particularly original mix of biscuity malt and hop and citrus.

T - 4.0 - First impression is of bright citrus. Fades to a sweet malty, rich honey. It's more like a DIPA in that way. There's just a tinge or flash of bitter there upon swallowing and then for a bit after at a lower volume. Ends a bit dry.

M - 4.0 - Thicker than expected. Approaching medium. Some carbonation sting. Nice.

O - 4.0 - I read that the head guy at Nogne O didn't understand bold American IPAs at first, same as me, couldn't understand how people could like that effect. And so he played around with them, determined to understand them, same as me. Difference is he was brewing and I was tasting. Both of us finally embraced that side of The Force. He came up with an IPA that I would recommend to people who say they don't like IPAs. I say that about Two Hearted, but I'd say it even more so about this one. This is a quality, well-done beer.

Nice mild orange appearance, thin, .56" head on top of it, mostly white, but not pristine white, lacing was half assed, but nonetheless not a detraction, especially for an ipa. Aroma, uh, where's the hops? Another one of those just bitter aroma beers.

Taste, eh, decent, except there's not really anything discernable regarding hops beyond the bitterness, which is substantial. Above average malt bill, sticky at times. Caramel is probably there, but the high bitterness ratio to anything else obscures this a little bit. Mild sweetness. Over and over it bears repeating, where is the hop vegetal taste? All I get is copper pennies from this one.

It was neat they brought a few kegs to the Old Bridge Pub in Reno, but overall, the less hoppy stuff (stout) is where its at, the ipa's, I dunno, at best, they are average for this part of the country. I think its hard to ship an ipa halfway around the world and have it taste like its meant to in the 21st century.
