Notes:
An ode to our Dutch heritage, Oranje Weisse is a premium, unfiltered white beer. Predominantly brewed with un-malted wheat which gives it a hazy appearance we've also added two types of orange peel, some coriander, and a touch of anise. The result is a unique flavour combination of citrus and light spice. Our signature yeast reveals a complex aroma and slight tartness on the palate. We recommend serving with a slice of orange on the side of the glass to enhance this refreshing seasonal brew.

I enjoyed this beer super cold, quite refreshing. Taste very much represents the style, malted/torrified wheat, cloves, coriander, orange peel. Unfiltered, hazy gold in appearance. Has a lovely citrus smell. This is a beer you could kill and after on a patio one after the other and not grow tired of it.

Appearance: very active carbonation; hazy, straw colour; white head with couple minutes length
Aroma: tart, acidic, spice - typical wheat beer; some orange peel
Taste & Mouthfeel: sweeter than typical; not much in flavour, actually bringing to mind good water! there is some orange, but fairly subtle and overall the taste isn't lasting; it is clean and refreshing however, and the lack of strong flavour makes it very drinkable
Overall: simple, subtle, and refreshing make this a great beer for summer and those that don't necessarily like the taste of beer

Not a style of beer I choose often, but I think this is a well brewed North American example of it. Pours a hazy orange white with a large, fluffy, white head that lingers.
Yeasty and bready aroma typical of a "wit" with mild orange undertones - both the fruit and the coriander are more subtle than I expected. Taste is mild, predominantly a sweet malted wheat breadiness that lingers into the finish. There is a dry bittering hop undertone and some orange notes, but they are not at the forefront.
Not my own personal cup of tea, but this would be an excellently refreshing summer ale for many an Ontario patio patron, and I'd recommend it to any fan of this style.

Appearance: It has a nice yellow/orange cloudy colour to it. It has a nice white head that dies down moderately and has some lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of wheat malts, some orange and coriander with a slight spiciness.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has a nice wheat feel to it with some nice citrusy orange, some coriander with a bit of banana and some lemony spices.
Mouthfeel: It has a high carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavours and aromas. Good refreshing Wit!

500 mL bottle from the LCBO; no date. Pours a very cloudy, murky yellowish-brown colour topped with a puffy two-inch white head. It dies down over a period of minutes, leaving a nice cap and plenty of lacing on the sides. The aroma is certainly witbier-y, with plenty of wheat, yeast, citrus and some coriander spiciness. Nice, but nothing interesting.
Plenty of wheat malt and yeast in the taste, coriander is also very prominent with a bit of orange citrus. More subtle is the banana and anise... maybe more noticeable toward the end of the sip. The citrus is pretty low-key. Yeast and coriander linger briefly in the finish. Highly carbonated, with medium-light body. Crisp and refreshing, this would be more suited to a patio in the summer than indoors at Thanksgiving.
Definitely to style - basically all of the notes I'd expect are there - but still leaves me a little wanting. A little heavy on the spice, and pretty light on everything else. There's nothing here that will blow your mind, and it's a bit pricy, but it does the job. Worth a try I suppose, but certainly not the best wit I've ever had and probably not something I'd go out of my way for.

Pours a cloudy deep lemon colour. Airy white head disappears quickly and just a small ring remains.
Aroma is grassy, with definite citrus and coriander notes.
Nice citrus notes, some wheat/yeasty flavours, a tad spicy. Aftertaste is sharp and crisp with just the slightest residual sweetness, very pleasant. Perhaps a bit overcarbed (which can be a challenge with this style!).
A decent example of the style. Approachable and perhaps a great local gateway craft beer.

This pours just as you would expect it to...a very cloudy orange pale colour with a few bits of sediment scattered around [important to do the 'weisse roll' prior to opening to disperse the solids]. Maybe a finger of fizzy head formed and quickly diminished to a ring. Not much lacing to speak of.
It smells like a wit beer...that should tell you enough. This is perhaps one of the more purely orange smelling beers I've encountered, but not neccesarily the sweetest. Very nice.
The taste does not disappoint. Compared to a Hoegaarden (a good basis for comparison), this one has more of a tart, fruity burst and also a little more of a hop bite on the finish, albeit not much.
While I do enjoy wit beers, they are nothing that i'd be able to drink more than one of. However, they hit the spot when the sweat starts to pour and I plan on returning to this one. If you enjoy Hoegaarden but are looking for something with a bit more of a bite, give it a shot!

Bottle: Poured a hazy light yellow color ale with a nice size purer white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of coriander and light orange peel notes is quite nice. Taste is also a nice mix between light coriander notes with some notes of wheat and light refreshing notes of orange peel. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation. Well brewed with more spices then I was expecting; maybe missing a fuller body.

Appearance - Cloudy, white head, good lacing, hard to see carbonation
Smell - Coriander, clove, Orange, banana, wheat
Taste - blah, not much banana, there truly was not a lot of punch to this beer. almost tasted like an ale style beer.
Mouthfeel - Added carbonation, better taste, not much overall added.
Overall - not what i was expecting after smell, there was a lot more promise than this delivered. thanks for SpinRSX for the sharing of this.

A - Pours a good cloudy straw colour with a two finger white head gone to a thick film pretty quick. Strong carbonation. Good filmy retention and some OK rings of lacing.
S - Banana is obvious, light sweet spice, and lemon. Standard.
T - Wheaty and yeasty. The wheat really smooths and lightens out the body. Banana, sweet spice is tame, and lemon comes through strong. More citrusy than the aroma.
M - Heavy carbonation and a light body with a slightly sweet finish. Carbonation might be a tad too strong.
O/D - Fairly standard for a wit I guess. Nothing really stands out. It's to style but not overly impressive. Refreshing and drinkable.

M - decent carbonation and bitterness and pretty smooth

500 mL bottle, chilled and poured into a pilsner glass
Appearance- Pours a hazy golden yellow colour with two fingers of thick white head that takes a little while to dissipate to an average ring around the glass leaving minimal to no lacing throghout till finish.
Smell- I get a huge spice presence right off the bat on the nose of this one, some citrusy fruity orange aromas in there as well, paired with a mild hint of yeast in there as well as some wheat. It’s really hard to pick out the other aromas in this one because the coriander spice really takes over and dominates the aromas.
Taste- Again just like the smells, there is a huge coriander spice presence that takes over right away and doesn’t really ever let go, next I get some bready wheat malts with that usual wit beer yeast. The orange does come through in there but only very mild, like I said before the coriander spiciness really dominates almost every aspect of those one, a little too much so.
Mouthfeel- Light to medium bodied, this wit beer is smooth and silky, although it does finish a little dry on the palate, below average carbonation to this one as well.
Overall- To be honest I am a little disappointed with this one, I was just expecting more from Amsterdam after such a solid bock beer seasonal that was released earlier this spring. There is far too much spice flavours going on that never really go away, I mean if you like that kind of beer than this will be right up your alley, but for the others like me who like a nice balance in a beer between all the flavours this one was really nothing but a one dimensional mess, for an oranje weisse the orange never really shines through as you would expect it to. Might pick this one up again but doubting it, nothing spectacular in anyway, very average wit beer.

Appearance - Hazy amber/orange with an average size frothy white coloured head. Hard to make out the carbonation level due to the haziness and there is some good lacing. The head lasted for 4 minutes before it began to dissipate.
Smell – Grains, oranges, coriander, bananas
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste banana, orange, and coriander. There is also some lemon flavour and some wheat. It finishes with an orange and banana fruity slightly tart aftertaste.
Overall – The taste is a little unbalanced but the beer is still above average. With a few small adjustments this beer could be really great. Still happy I tried it.

Cloudy pale golden colour, one finger of white head, dissipates quickly leaving light lace on the glass. Smell is yeasty with citrus, orange, spice, coriander, banana is there also sort of reminds me of belgian style crossed with german in the nose. Taste is yeasty with orange and spices, spice dominates this a little, dry with orange peel and floral notes in the finish. High carbonation, thin at points but still good, carbonation a little too prickly. Not a bad brew, this brewery has stepped up in the last little while, would revisit next summer gladly.

Labelled Amsterdam Oranje Weisse. Fresh 2011 bottle, no BB information at all. Included tag has instructions to roll the beer before opening.
Poured a uniformly hazy orange juice-like yellow colour with a medium-large white head that dissipated quickly, but left a decent lace and collar.
Aroma is pretty heavy on the coriander spiciness, combining with orange citrus to create a certain sharpness, but with honey and banana softness that balances nicely.
Taste is also very coriander-forward, maybe too much so. There is a decent, malty sweetness to it and the anise gives it a certain piney flavour, but the coriander really dominates and creates a distinct dryness.
The mouthfeel is relatively thin, but has a real creamy quality to it as well. Very easy to drink, has a prickly carbonation as it passes the tongue and an earthy (mushroom), almost peppery finish.
It's not the best witbier by any means, but at least it tastes somewhat unique. At $4 a bottle I'm not sure how often I'll buy it though. There are better, cheaper options readily available.

Turbid pale yellow. Voluminous white head is fluffy and retentive. Patchy lace. Lemon and coriander aroma with floral notes in the background. Juicy orange and coriander flavour brightened and uplifted by tangy acidity. Subtle liquorice-like flavour is interesting and different for a witbier, yet also very dutch at the same time. What grows together goes together, as one of my chef instructors at the college likes to tell us.
Sometimes, liquorice (or anise, or fennel) is a flavour I don't much appreciate. But when one note amongst many other flavours, it can be quite pleasant. Like the fennel note in bouillabaisse, or the liqourice character in many imperial stouts. The liquorice in this witbier works. Think tiger tail ice cream, which I normally don't like because it tastes too much like liquorice for me. Though the liquorice is still combined with orange, it is much more subtle and less overpowering for me in this case.
Light bodied ale with ample and fine carbonation and mousse-like texture. Crisp and refreshing. Easy drinking and approachable. Would make a real crowd pleaser at a barbecue. Might go well with the food too, especially pulled pork or ribs.

Great big rocky head with great lacing. Hazy and opaque straw-coloured body. Beautiful-looking stuff.
Tons of coriander on the nose; too much coriander. Bitter orange pith, wheat, astringent, earthy hops and a touch of sweet candy malt.
Coriander overpowers in the mouth as well, with not nearly enough malt to serve as its base. The flavour is on the weak side other than that, with bits of bitter orange pith, wheat and a hint of anise. Definitely needs some more malt sweetness. The aftertaste is of powdery, drying coriander.
Thin, silky body with a medium carbonation. Nothing special.
Drinkable I guess but it seems as if someone spilled a giant bag of ground coriander into the brew tank.

Pours a hazy light peach color. The head is pretty shortlived and unimpressive, mustering up just a smattering of lace on the glass. The aroma is spicy and doughy with a little bit of citrus in there. Pretty straightforward. The taste malty with a herbal phenolic edge and the slightest whisper of band-aids. Pear and banana esters show with some warmth. The mouthfeel is thin and under-carbonated for the style. The finish is un-notable, a bit watery.
This is a decent Wit, but a little bit bland. I wouldnt seek it out again.

Pours a hazy pale gold with an inch of pearl-white head. Nice, thicker lacing. Estery and yeasty nose..but a little bit of sulfur when I swirl it in the glass. Coriander, wheat and some orange..lots of yeast, kind of like a hefe/saison to me. Average mouthfeel, something is a little off about the beer, maybe just brewed in haste. But overall not a bad beer and I'd give it a try again next year if it's still around.

I finally cracked open that bottle biegaman gave me some time ago. Bright, pale yellow, this wit beer looks like it would glow in the dark! At the same time, it's murky and hazy with some yeast chunks falling to the bottom. I blinked and missed any head that might have appeared, no visible ring either. There was a slight effervescence on the surface and slow, even carbonation redeemed the beer's seeming lack of presence.
Smell was delightful citrus rind, perfumy lilac, a bit spicy ... a good representation of the style. Taste was coriander big time, some orange rind, very much a wit beer with a malty finish and a cleansing, snappy mouthfeel. A bit thin but oerall a decent example of the style, I'd gladly buy a few more of these for those times when only a wit beer will do!

Had on tap at C'est What's 2010 Fall Festival of Craft Breweries. Pours a pale yellow with white head. Nice lacing down the glass. Tons of orange in the smell, with some of the typical aroma of a wheat beer. Flavour isn't as nice as the smell, more muted. Ok carbonation level.

A: Nice cloudy body as expected, yellow pale color and a good head on top that leaves a layer of little bubbles, color withe with some retention.
S: Full wheat aroma, very vague citric smell in the back but almost all of it fulls your nose with the wheat.
T: Original wheat flavor, with a little citrus faint orange tasting at the end.

Courtesy of northyorksammy - 500mL bottle poured into my Hoegaarden tumbler.
Very cloudy titanium yellow body, nearly opaque, with a whispy ivory head that recedes to a delicate film. Fast running uniform lacing.
Pleasing citrus, hearty yeast, light wheat notes, and a faint touch of spice in the nose.
The palate is basically a more potent expression of the aroma - the citrus is clarified as orange zest, while the wheat adds a distinct low-level tartness of its own. Very slight coriander in the finish...
Medium-light, pillowy, effervescent mouthfeel. Clean, refreshing, and somewhat fruity overall. A bit simplistic maybe, but no off notes...very drinkable.
