Obvisously this is a large chain store, but they do have a very solid beer selection. Prices are reasonable to maybe a touch on the high side. From a selection standpoint, they have most of the popular craft brews and certainly a great selection of local ones if you're from out of town and looking for those. They do get some of the speacial, limited beers, and I've had some great luck finding stuff here when others were sold out, so much so that I call them after my fisrt go to is sold out. I've gotten BCS Vanilla, Charleville Box of Chocolate, and Firestone Walker Parabola all here.

Nice store. Good selection of Bells products was the 2nd thing I noted. (The 4-packs of GI Bourbon County Stout were the first)
They've crammed a pretty nice collection of good beer into a small area, so I won't slam the selection - this IS a grocery store after all.
There were even a couple unexpected finds here.
Purchased a BCS, Schalfly Irish Dry Stout, some Bells Third Hearted and too many others to mention. I'll be back.
Prices weren't out of line with what I expected, but I did save a dollar or two on most options by buying them at Lukas. Of course, I had lunch at Whole Foods and bought some baked goods, which were all tasty.
Didn't receive much service, but didn't need much either. What I got was friendly and somewhat helpful.

As most reviewers have said, this is a pretty good place to get beer even though it is a grocery store. The selection is a little limited by space, but what they have is good. Nothing there really surprised me except a sixer of Lamar St (a Goose Island created brewed specifically for Whole Foods). They had some nice bombers and 750s of good stuff. Also, had some nice Belgians. One can also assume that most of the stuff is pretty fresh, since grocery stores have pretty good turnover (plus the place was very busy). I've seen grocery stores with larger selections, but the ratio of high quality craft brew was still pretty impressive. It's worth a stop if you wife has dragged you to go shopping at the many stores in the area.

Well this is a grocery store so only certain things can be expected.
Quality is very very good for a grocery stuff. They have very limited quantities but the they have good Belgians, good Americans and pretty good British stuff. They also have some nice local stuff. A nice even split of good sixers and pretty good bombers.
Service is very good. Both times I've been here I was offered help by the same employee who was very nice, helpful and suggested a greta DIPA when I asked. A in my book.
Prices are right.

Whole Foods is nicely located on South Brentwood Boulevard, easily accessable from I-64 (east or west). Each of my visits to Whole Foods have come at different days/times, and I must say that they are a busy place! Whole Foods is one of those organic/natural food superstores, and while you are there, you should browse the different varities of food products available.
Quality. The beer selection here is limited, but nice. You certainly will not find any macro-stuff here! They have a great selection of Bell's (5-6 types, 6ers), Arcadia, ODell and New Belgium. They also carry Unibroue, Rogue, North Coast, La Chouffe, Goose Island, Dupont and of course Schlafly. Prices seem to be a bit high.
Service. Did not see anyone nor was I offered help, but didn't need any either. Nothing wrong here.
Selection. As mentioned above, selection is a bit limited, yet they carry some things that I have not spotted in other stores, which makes this worthy of stopping in every month or so. The Bell's selection makes this a no-brainer for me, as Whole Foods is the closest location for us Illinois-deprived-Bell's lovers.
Bottom line--a decent enough variety to stop in, but not something to go out of your way.

Not much to say for atmosphere. It's a grocery store and it's busy. Really not a great vibe for beer shopping but convenient if you are there grocery shopping (I was not).
No problems with quality, everything in the joint seems fresh and with the high volume of people they have relatively quick turnover of products.
Can't speak about service really as I don't require much help. A young guy did ask if I was doing alright though so I suppose that counts as positive.
The selection is ok. The bottle selection is a little disjointed as most lines they carry aren't complete. I found a few things of interest but kept wanting one step more. It was exciting to see certain lines there, but disappointing again when I'd see only a few options.
Overall it's a decent place. I would revisit if I were in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way.

A grocery store with a decent selection, most of the beer is kept cold, I did see some 750 ml bottles in crates on the floor and an O'fallon pumpkin ale display between the aisle. They seem to have a good stock of Bell's, New Belgium, Schlafly and a few other domestic micros as well as imports and some nice Belgians. I wouldn't go out of my way to get beer here, but they do have a nice selection for a grocery store. Their prices are about average for this area. I always seem to pick up something when I shop here.
