12 oz bottle poured into a snifter.
Pours clear orange copper color with a finger of sticky foam that coats the glass. Aroma is malty, Munich malt, spicy sweetness, and a kiss of earthy hops.
First sip is very clean, with a basic munich malt sweetness and smooth finish. Hops are minimal. This is a nice, malty session beer with great drinkability. Crisp, clean, flavorful, but not overly complex.
A solid Oktoberfest. Nothing Earth-shattering here, but a clean tasting flavorful beer. Would get again.

Aroma is strong and malty with fruity and earthy underpinnings. Pours a clear, orangy amber with a fairly thick pale wheat head that leaves generous lacing. Lip-smacking flavor has a malty core and firm tones of cloves, fruit and honey. Smooth texture has average body and fizz. Happy Autumnal Equinox - in the northern hemisphere, anyway.

Poured from a 341ml. bottle, bottled August 19 (lot code 2312).
Appearance: Pours a peachy gold, an easy 3 finger head that slowly recedes and leaves a good wreath of lacing.
Smell: Sweet spices, brown sugar, earthy a bit, quite malty.
Taste: Malty though there is some earthy, mineral bitterness. Some nutmeg as well as a good dose of spices that are just right.
Mouthfeel: Obviously more on the malty side yet there is a slight bitter edge. Real well balanced and pleasant.
Overall: A very flavorful Oktoberfest. Grab some while there's still some left.

On tap at Kickbacks in Jax. Poured into a small snifter. White, fluffy head on a clear coppery body. Lacing lines the glass, clear and soapy. Aroma is crisp, light caramel sweetness, fresh hop bitterness, classic pilsner notes. Taste has mild sweetness, mild bitterness, pilsner yeastiness. Not too complex, very smooth and easy to drink. Not one complaint whatsoever.

Just a really average beer. I love Marzen/Octoberfest, but this one is just blah. I bought a variety pack and this one was disappointing. The flavor hits early and fades late, which seems like a trend from this brewery. I would drink it if it was free, but I doubt I'll pay for it again.

Always a sucker for a new Oktoberfest I haven't tried yet. This offering appears somewhat in between a Helles and a traditional amber Marzen in color, very clear golden amber topped by a large foamy white that leaves a fair amount of lacing as well.
The aroma is pure malty breadiness with just a hint of earthy hos.
The flavor is all about the malt though it has not made the mistake of being overly sweet. There is a bit of a caramel overtone however and the hops are less prevalent than I would prefer.
The mouthfeel is smooth, on the light side of medium and carbonated perfectly.
Overall this is a very drinkable lager though given how nice their Vienna lager is I expected a bit better beer. Still, this is a smooth and very drinkable offering.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear honey orange with a small white head on top. No retention left behind. The aroma is light with notes of honey, floral tones, sweet sugary malts. The body is lighter than other Oktos I've had this season. Carbonation gives a light bubbly feel, but this beer lacks the moderate heft I like in this style.
The flavors border on fruity, to a bit of a fault. Pale apple, sweet crackers, juice-like residual sweetness. The main players I expect in the flavor - caramel, malt, bread - are absent, or at least masked quite well under a covering of sweet fruity character. This one missed the mark for me. It wasn't a bad "beer," it just wasn't a great Okto.
