Served on-tap at Rattle N Hum in New York, NY
A: Pours an opaque jet black in color with minimal amounts of visible carbonation and some light amounts of cola brown highlights. The beer has a half finger tall off-white head that reduces rather quickly to a medium patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark and roasted malts along with sour cherries.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of dark malts and roasted malts. Moderate flavors of sour cherries which get a little stronger as the beer warms up. Light hints of alcohol.
M: Medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: I really enjoyed the flavors of sour cherries in the imperial stout style - I found it to be interesting and a touch unique but enjoyable. Alcohol is well hidden and this one is easy to enjoy sipping on for a while.

Sour cherry Imperial Stout on draft at the brewery on 1/27/23. Served cold. Good flavor with minimal cherry taste. Not a huge fan of imperial stouts, but this one hides the alcohol well, and delivers a nice roasty flavor.

Poured from the bottle.
Don't be confused by the name: It's a stout with "sour cherries", not a "sour stout".
The cherries are a nice addition, bright and tart without getting to be too sweet. It goes well with the roasted malt, chocolate and dark aged fruits.

From the bottle, it pours a very dark brown with a hint of light brown showing at the edges. Head is briefly there and islands thereafter. Cherry and roasted malt in the nose. The mouth gets a touch of cherry along with the roast malt. enjoyable!
