This black brew looks like a thick chewy stout but it's completely different. It starts off with a charge of burnt grains and smoke, but it lets up quickly, leaving you with a dry light bodied malty lager. Very little aroma. Not much in the way of hops. The dark stuff up front lingers, giving this session beer a wonderful dryness. Was a bit weak against the big beefy, super spicy sausage I had with it.

Overall: lovely session brew with a little smokiness to change things up.
