Crystal clear light straw color. Streams of carbonation make their way to the surface quite rapidly. A long lasting small sized white head sits on top. The aroma is really big on the vanilla. Banana esters and clove are present to a smaller degree. The taste takes the cue from the aroma. But it's a little more balanced. Vanilla, banana and clove mingle together nicely in this hefe. And there's also a little bubblegum to accentuate. Overall, this is quite the tasty Kristal. Hacker-Pschorr usually does not disappoint.

Presentation: 12oz slender brown European-style bottle, with freshness date.
Appearance: Bright pale golden beer, crowned by a thick, stiff creamy head from a active carbonation. Retains nicely.
Smell: Smells of a lemon scone, fresh baked with a fruity twang to it. Pleasant aroma with wheat malt sweetness and subdued fruity esters (faint banana), fermented wheat, a touch of phenols and some spicy clove play with the nose a bit.
Taste: Crisp moderate body. Very smooth and creamy on the palate, with an even malty character of light bread, vanilla, faint bubble-gum sweetness and solvent clove taste and slickness. A grain dryness follows that mixes with a lemony hop bitterness (not hoppy though) and carbonation to create a crisp snap, which is then joined shortly after by some more light clove flavours. Finishes with some grain, clove and sweetness and a pleasant lingering aftertaste.
Notes: An outstanding Kristall Weizen beer. Extremely flavourful and complex, while remaining refreshing and just an overall pleasure to drink.

A truly excelent brew! The pour was great with a huge bubbly white head that settled nicely after a minute. The aroma hit me as soon as I started pouring with a sweet lemon scent and once I smelled the beer, faint scents of bananna and pepper mixed in as well giving this beer a very inviting smell.
The flavor of this brew was outstanding as well, with a light malt sweetness in the front and a slight bitterness in the finnish that was excentuated by the great carbonation of the beer. A wonderful drink for sure, very recommended.
