500 mL flip-top bottle from the LCBO; best before July 2012. Of the German-made hefes commonly available around here, this is the only one I have not yet tried.
Pours a muddy brownish-amber colour, completely opaque with haze. A gigantic frothy, creamy white head erupts from the pour, over three fingers tall at first, and taking many minutes to dissipate fully. Plentiful webs of sticky lacing on the sides of the glass are left in its wake. Nice, fresh aroma; good balance between sweet, bready wheat malts, light citrus, clove spiciness and yeast.
I am in love with this stuff after only one sip. A firm bready wheat malt backbone, with the yeast again being quite prominent. Definitely a banana vibe, with fairly subtle hints of lemonpeel and cloves. Yeasty aftertaste, with some lingering clove spiciness. Medium-bodied, with a silky, creamy feel in the mouth, largely due to the relatively soft carbonation for the style.
This is a fabulous beer that I really can't find any gripes with. It is a textbook hefe without a doubt, one to use as a yardstick when comparing others.
Final Grade: 4.18, a very respectable A-. Schneider Weisse has been my favourite hefe for years, but Hacker Pschorr Weisse definitely gives it a run for its money. I will certainly be buying this again in the summer, and any hefe fan would be a fool to not give this one a chance.

look: 4 | smell: 2.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4
Appearance - pours a hazy, yellow orange with a two finger head
Smell - rotten oranges and heavy yeast notes dominate
Taste - extreme wheat and grass qualities. Has some very spicy notes at the finish
Mouthfeel - very high acidity and low carbonation
Overall - besides the smell of the beer, it's an above average beer with some distinct characteristics

Appreance: hazy pale orange with a white head that dissolved fairly quickly.
Smell: Aroma is a typical wheat beer.
Taste: Taste kind of follows fairly typical wheat, but appears a little watered down and has too much carbonation. Wheat/grain and some cirtus. : Beer had medium body, but as stated above it appeared to be watered down and had too much carbonation.
Mouthfeel : Is quite thin not much with not enough carbonation
Overall: I am not sure if it is due to the fact that it was produced some 10 months ago, but this is an average beer at best. I might try a fresh beer next time to see if makes a diffrence but Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse,Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier,Ducher Helles Hefe Weizen. I might visit this beer in the future with a fresher beer or on tap at a bar.

A- Light straw with a nice off white head
S-Reminds me of fresh cut grass, hay and summer
T-Very crisp and dry, little banana or clove, actually kinda neutral, but refreshing. Not a ton of hop bitterness
M-Nice and effervescent, light bodied and dry
O-Easy drinking summer beer with good flavor.
