I love brixx uptown. I go here for mostly Four Friends - Uptown Brown. They have probably the best selection of local/Nc brews in uptown Charlotte. Friendly staff, big booths with PLENTY of space. Nice horse shoe shaped bar facing open kitchen. Huge patio to sit on, on a nice day. TIP - After 10pm apps and pizzas are buy one get one free. It can be quite at times, but at other times very busy. One of best places to have a cold beer in Charlotte. They have a few imports but i would say over 10 Local Brews so dont forget SUPPORT LOCAL BREWS.

I stopped in the other night since it is a short walk from my house. Trivia was being played on Saturday night but had just missed the start of it. There was a reasonable amount of people within the restaurant. I ordered the Golden Monkey and took note that they had a good selection on tap (13 Rebels, Four Friends,Olde Hickory,Mother Earth, etc...) The prices for the pints were about $4-5. I did order the pizza and wasnt that impressed. The pizza was served within about 5 minutes of ordering and unfortunately was not even hot. The toppings weren't very hearty but was big enough for one person with some leftovers. Next time Ill just grab a selection of appetizers for the price and have a better variety. Would definitely return for the draft selection that seems to be revolving.

I actually stopped here just for a beer, not for the pizza. But I know the pizza is good, I've tried the Brixx in Raleigh before. The atmosphere is OK, actually really good for a downtown pizza place. Most of the seating is table form for dining, but there are also plenty of seats along the bar. The beer selection was pretty good, including Bell's Two-Hearted, several Terrapins, Red Oak (meh), some German selections also but mostly US craft beers. Prices ranged from $2.50 for imports during happy hour to $5 for other beers at any time.

Visited Brixx for lunch on a Friday afternoon. When I arrived the place was packed, except for the bar which was near the back. The inside is very large and the bar area has a nice view of the oven. The atmosphere was good. They had several TV's showing a variety of sports and classic rock playing in the background. The service was good, I was there for about 2 hours and they checked in periodically, but not too much. The bartenders were helpful and they had a good selection of beers on tap, about 20. The only downside was the 2 that I wanted to try, they were out of, and otherwise I would have probably given them higher marks there. The pizza was really good. I had the Rustica on the bartender's suggestion and it did not disappoint. I would recommend this place to anyone and plan on returning when I am in Charlotte.

Nice location downtown. Parking deck is right next door and is complimentary for 90 minutes. The spaces were a bit tight but I was able to find a spot in reasonable time.
Pretty large on the inside with the bar towards the back. I sat at the bar but there were plenty of tables and it seemed to be a popular spot. IT was a little dark overall inside, but I guess there is really no need for a lot of lighting.
Good beer selection. The food was very good too, as always. I had the barbeque chicken pizza and was very satisfied. I have always liked Brixx and would recommend this one as well.

Ok now this was more my style. I tried the one over at Dilworth and it had left a bad taste in my mouth for the establishment. This one was a bit of a redeemer. At least 25+ taps and a decent bottle selection too. I noticed 90 min, some rogues, a cottonwood, highland, and a duck rabbit among others on the taps. Decent selection I would have to say, no macros to speak of at least that I saw. The food
was standard fair for the place and it made a nice stop for lunch, The staff was friendly, did not know much, but I did so it was not neccasary. Overall it was a decent expierence and I would go back. They seem to have their stuff in order, just need to expand the selection a little but it was still not that bad.

Visited here on a Sunday evening and the place was fairly quiet. There were 27 beers on tap and the only macro I noticed was Stella Artois. That's pretty decent and shows that this place is trying to cater to BA's. I noticed Anchor Steam, Rogue Hazelnut, Chimay White, 90 minute IPA, SN pale ale, SA lager, Brooklyn Brown, Flying Dog pale ale, Hoegaarden and others on the beer menu. The bartender was very attentive and appeared to know a little bit about the beers, which is nice. I ordered a glass of 90 minute and one of Chimay and both were dispensed into each brewery's respective glassware. A nice touch! I didn't get to try any of the food, but people have told me that the pizzas are very good. This is probably the best bar in downtown Charlotte to grab a quality pint. I don't think any other bar in the downtown area has this kind of beer selection. The only downside was the atmosphere. This establishment appears to attract mainly business types and yuppies, so don't come here expecting a cozy neighborhood pub.

Brixx Pizza is a pretty neat place right in the middle of downtown Charlotte. Obviously, as you can tell from the name, they serve pizzas. These are all personal sized pizzas which are more than enough to fill you up and range between $8-$10. There are probably 10 or more different varieties of which the Spicy Shrimp is my favorite. The spinach & artichoke dip is excellent as well. I haven't tried any, but they also serve sandwiches and some pasta dishes too.
As far as the beer is concerned Brixx serves about 24 beers on draft. A fairly decent selection of regional breweries and other assorted micros plus I think they have one tap that rotates occasionally. There is also a small selection of bottled beers too. Nothing to write home about, but more than most other restaurants have. They also have a beer club called the MBA (Master of Beer Appreciation) that you can join for free. Its one of the more worthwhile/attainable clubs I have seen. Basically you get a card with all the beers they offer and after each they stamp your card for the appropriate beer. After just 6 beers you get a free pizza... after 12 a free MBA t-shirt... after 18 either two free pint glasses or another free pizza... and after 24 you get a Brixx Bash which entitles you to a party for up to eight people and you get $75 to spend on pizza and appetizers.
Overall this is a nice mix of location, selection, decent food and price. With that mix I'll probably get that many beers here anyways, so its nice to get the extra free stuff as well. They also have specials on different days, the best being $2.50 pints on Mondays and buy one get one free pizzas on weekdays from 4pm - 6pm. Definately worth checking out if you are in the area. Its basically part of a large parking garage so finding parking is easy. If you do go here make sure you go touch the tall/skinny colored things that run up and down the side of the building... you'll see what I mean when you get there.

Brixx is a good place downtown for a beer and a bite. Typical atmosphere, some tv's, decent lighting. The pizza is quite good if you like oven fired thin crust, which I do. However, some of the pizzas end up coming out looking like flour tortillas they're so thin. Beer selection isn't staggering, but what thry do offer is good. I had a Double Chocolate as my appetiser, and a Dead Guy with my pizza, a great combo IMO. There were about 20 beers on tap, some regional, some west coast brews too. Prices are good, especially for the beer, a mere $3.75 a pint. Worth checking out. There are several other locations around Charlotte.

Brixx location is great in the Uptown Charlotte area. With the basketball arena completion next year, this place will be much more active on the week nights than the Wednesday night that we arrived. A better beer selection that I assumed--this is the first place I found Cottonwood's Frostbite seasonal ($3.75 a pint). Our flag football team ordered six different kinds of pizza and I tried most of the selections. The spicy shrimp pizza was fantastic--definite recommendation to anyone who can handle a little kick. The chicken florentine pizza not as great (a bit dry). Pretty nice atmosphere, a few tv's and a good open area and bar. Will go there for the food but not particularly for the beer selection.
