Very yuppy joint in Palo Alto with very nice dark wood throughout. Feels a bit upscale but also fairly stuffy. Kinda a brasserie feel. Service is clueless about beer and harried and relatively rude in general. The selection is nothing much, with the usual suspects of Rogue and Sierra and a couple of other crafts, Newcastle, etc. The food is quite good, and the real reason to go here. It's not really a beer bar. It's also quite pricey, especially with dinner. I'd rather hit up Gordon Biersch or the Rose and Crown when I'm in Palo Alto. As a restaurant its not bad, but for the price there are also better options.

Off University Ave in Palo Alto, across Gordon Biersch. Selection wasn't that impressive. The standard SNPA, 2 Rogues, and some other craft brews. They serve the beer in frosted glasses and service was extremely slow even though the bar was empty. The place was full of 30 somethings drinking martinis and coolers. Pints were all $5 with tax included which could be to your advantage or not depending on what you order. Not somewhere where I'd go again. It's a quiet place to have a drink and eat, but in terms of selection, there are plenty of better places.
