Beer is light amber with a soft white head, small bubbles. some lacing, low retention moderate to low carbonation.

Aroma is bready, biscuit, yeast.

Beer is light on the palate, finishing nicely, no detection of alcohol, strong throughout, interesting. Not sure if I would order it again but it is a fine little ale. I enjoyed it .

Bottle into a cervoise. The back label of the bottle states a best before end of 12/2012 and 7% abv. This brew appears a light yellow color with 2.5 fingers of white fluff composed of rather large bubbles. A ton of carbonation streams through the body in support of the cap which displays wonderful retention. As the cap slowly fades it leaves thick patches of lacework sticking to the glass.

The aroma of this brew is sweet smelling with a scent lightly of lemon to belgian candy. Some light notes of sulfur and cheese mix with a pale grain base and some zesty herbal to grassy hops fill in the back of the nose. As the brew comes up to temperature, the alcohol really comes out with a spirited aspect that is reminiscent of vodka. Towards the bottom of the glass, the nose picks up some character that is almost a bit chalky, interesting.

The taste is reminiscent of your staple belgian blonde except with more alcohol inclusion in flavor and warmth. It has a sweetness throughout like belgian candy meets lemon. Some pale malt flavoring is evident along with a white grape inclusion that fades into a bit of a spiced aspect somewhat like clove and pepper. As the brew warms up, it gets a bit solvent in it's alcohol character that, at times, seems almost reinforced with a spirit like vodka.

This is a light bodied brew with a lively level of high carbonation. It is a lively and interesting take on the style that was easy drinking for 7%. Worth a try if you happen across it for sure. However, it is best enjoyed at the lower end of the temperature spectrum. As this brew warmed up the alcohol really came through and started to prove to be lightly distracting to the rest of the beer experience.

Picked up a 750ml bottle (caged and corked) at De Bier Tempel in Brugge and split it with my brother - poured into a chalice.

A: Pours a hazy unfiltered straw-like hue with a fluffy off-white head with good lace and a nice effervescence.

S: Sour apples, sweet malt, fermented fruit, spice, some funky yeast and wood. There's some bitter hop in the mix as well.

T: On point with the nose but even more aged wood flavors and unique wild yeast flavor.

M: Medium-bodied, very well carbonated (champagne yeast maybe), smooth and dry.

D: Very drinkable - wish I had brought home a couple more with me from this last trip (this was one of my favorites of the dozen 750's I brought back from Belgium and Holland this past Fall).

A: clear gold, two finger head settles to a billowing one finger cap with striations of foamy rings.

S: apple candy or Fun Dip, apple juice, Welch's grape juice.

T: Welch's grape juice, yeast, honey, cran-apple juice, blueberry concentrate, pretty much juice, concentrated juice, finish is a little bit like sour green grapes.

M: medium body and carbonation, sweet and sour finish.

O: a little too juicy for me, certainly worth a try and there was nothing glaringly wrong with it, just not really my thing.

A: Hazy golden colour, small but stable head

S: bread, banana, peach, some lemon and herbs

T: sweet, some white grapes some hops at the end, but mostly pure alcohol

M: a little thin, loads of carbonation, dry finish

O: Too much alcohol to be enjoyable, I think there probably is a lot more to it than that, but it's almost all I'm getting.

A: Pours a hazy, light amber / yellow with a large head that dissapears quickly.

S: Smell is bready, yeasty, a bit spicy, with citruses notes.

T: Taste is more flavorful than expected from the nose. Malty (pale malts, caramel malts). Biscuit, roasted bread aromas. Hoppy bitterness. The finish is quite sour, with a bitter orange aftertaste.

M: Mouthfeel is quite sweet. Nice carbonation. No alcohol presence.

O: Refreshing beer with a solid background.
