Notes:
Scape Goat is our award-winning Pale Ale. It is a very smooth brew, refreshing and well-balanced. Scape Goat took home the Gold Medal from the North American Brewers' Association competitions as the best English-style pale ale brewed west of the Mississippi, but only because it is the best. Scape Goat is brewed with pale, crystal malts, and Kent Goldings and Crystal hops.

Pours a clear, very light brown, with a tall, but fragile, head.

The aroma is of moderately strong hops. The hops also dominate the taste, with small amount of nutty malt flavor accenting the hops.

The carbonation gives a bit of tingle to the mouthfeel, but it doesn't linger.

If you like your pale ale on the hoppy side, this is very drinkable.

One snowy, cold-ass day in Missoula the Big Sky Brewing team met to discuss their next brew. The decision had been made, and the Scape Goat Pale Ale was brought into this world. This beer is really not a scape goat, but truly below average. I usually love pale ales but this one was overly bitter and hard to put down, let alone enjoy. I'll pass on the Scape Goat next time.

Can from my Arizona adventure. Beer served in a shaker pint. Beer is brown and mostly clear with a thin tan head of small bubbles, some lacing, moderate retention.

Aroma is malty and sweet.

Beer is mildly bitter, nice finish, no aftertaste, interesting malt make up, Marris Otter maybe, hard to discern. A decent beer but probably not a repeat.
