It's chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. A malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops.

Appearance – Ruby dark brown in color with lots of active carbonation. The head made an effort but fell short.

Smell – Pure, unadulterated caramel-infused toasted malt.

Taste – There’s a bit of a hop balance in there, but mostly this one is all about the heavy caramel and toasted malts. The refined sugars join the party as well, making this ale a sweet one for sure.

Mouthfeel – Smooth, very sweet and sticky, and somewhat refreshing. This medium-bodied ale showed just a little carbonation.

Drinkability – I enjoyed this sweetened interpretation of the style, and the hop compliment was just enough to balance things out. Well done!

Pours a medium brown color with a foamy tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Taste is sweet caramel and vanilla with no hoppy bitterness at the finish.

Dark brown, just slightly transparent/translucent. Tapers into amber color at the edges. Capped with a creamy beige head. Excellent retention and sticky lacing.

Aroma of sticky-sweet caramelized sugars, toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, pumpernickel bread.

Caramel and toffee hit upfront; peanut brittle and milk chocolate, toasted hazelnuts and peanuts and pumpernickel bread. Leans towards dried red apples and raison on the end of the palate. Finishes clean despite its initial sweetness.

A very good brown ale; worth seeking it and savoring!

Brown with an one finger off white head. Nose has some slight roast and coffee and darker malts. Taste opens with a nice wash of weak coffee roast, some balanced caramel in the middle, and ends with a slight herbal hop mixed with chocolate. Body is light to medium with medium carbonation. Ends with a carbonic bite and doesn't linger. Overall its a solid brown ale.

12oz can. Bottom stamp is '125235'.
Clear, amber brown colored body. One thick finger of tan head quickly subsides to a cap and ring. No lacing.
Aroma of toasted malt with a hint of caramel and chocolate. Slight spicy hops.
Taste is toasted malts with caramel and chocolate. Tea presence. Bright spicy hops. Close to unsweetened root beer in the aftertaste.
Thinner than medium mouth feel, but with a creamy texture. Drying finish. Okay carbonation.
I've had this many times in the past but first time reviewing. Solid brown ale, not too sweet, but with an experienced to style character.

Can review only. As far as an ale its par for the course. Nothing bad to say really, but nothing stands out as good either.

This is a well distributed beer, and is a good entry way beer for the style. However, there is nothing much that stands out. Mouthfeel is much too thin compared to the leaders in the style. It does have the smell and lacing down.

I'm a-kinda partial to these here Brown Ales & this'uns a mighty tasty one. And it's gosh-dern purty to look at, too. And as it sez on the back of the can: "We Make Water Fun" & that they do, yes-sir-re.
Enjoy some w/a dill pickle!
