Poured into draft glass. Nice black color with a fizzy, khaki-colored one-finger head that dissipated quickly. Almost no lacing here. Body kind of resembled a cola with all the bubbles clinging to the side of the glass.

Smells of chocolate milk, coffee, and roasted malt. Pleasant nose on this one.

Taste is like chocolate milk, with hints of coffee. Has a nice roasty, bitter finish. Taste follows the nose on this one.

It has a less creamy mouthfeel than I hoped for, but it was not bad. It goes down smooth. Quite drinkable.

Overall, this was a nice beer. I was compelled to try it, as the brewery is one county away from me and a buddy of mine said it was pretty good. It was good, but it didn't knock my socks off. Solid brew and not sorry one bit that I tried it. Oddly, Ive been on a summertime stout kick and this is yet another one in the string of nice stouts I've had the pleasure of enjoying.

A - Black pour with a thin foam head that disappates. Lacing is decent on this. Slight amount of carbonation noted.

S - Impressive smell of chocolate and dark malts. For a sweet stout it really smells robust. Slight amount of smoke behind the intial scent.

T - Fairly rich chocolate taste that while enjoyable, doesn't last nearly enough. Over time it seemed to weaken.

M - Feels light and slightly thin, though not all that atypical for the style. Leaves a sugary sweet flavor in the finish. Could stand to be balanced a bit better.

O - Not a bad beer; just not as consistent throughout the consumption with the flavor profile and balance. But it is quite enjoyable and I would not mind having this again.
