I have been on over 20 brewery tours all over and this has to be one of, if not the most fun tours you can go on. The first time I went on the tour, a Klisch brother was giving the tour. He told us a story that his brother bought him out of the brewery and now his brother let's him give the tours. Kind of funny! The selection of beers on tap after/during the tour is the only thing that I didnt like about the tour.
(NOTE: if you wait until near the end of the tasting, there are always people that will give you their extra beer coins. Last time i went there I started with 4 coins and drank about 11 samples because people gave their extras to us.)

Lakefront tour is the #1 attraction in Milwaukee and that's because it is fun and cheap and they give you plenty of tokens and their beer is delicious. Best value in town, the atmosphere is cool, German food hall, just a great experience and the tour guides are funny.

Great tour. Great time. Cool building. Worth the trip in you are in the area. Looks like a giant beer hall inside. Met two people from North Carolina and had a few drinks with them. Almost didn't want to go through the tour the company was so good. Enjoyed the tour and the people were most cool. Go do the tour, then walk the riverwalk for a while.

Went there for a Brewery Tour. This place was by far one of the best tours that I have been on. We walked in for our tour time. Paid our entry fee, which included a take home pint glass. Before the tour started they allowed you to have a pint or two of their brew. The tour started right on time. This place is a small brewery so it isn't very long of a tour of the facility, but you spend more time drinking their beer. Usually you only get a few tokens to fill up your pint glass, but the day that we went they were having an event that night so we were able to stay longer than normal to partake for the barley pops. All in all I had 4 or 5 beers. As an added bonus, Lakefront has the old County Stadium Bernie the Brewer slide in it brewery. Very Cool!

I have enjoyed many Lakefront beers, when I can get my hands on them, which is not often in California, and was very happy to visit the pub/brewery itself.
The place is a neat converted old powerhouse on the river north of downtown. It's a bit cavernous inside, a single huge, tall-ceiling room, which is a minus when it's quiet and empty but good when it's packed, as it eventually gets on the Friday night fish fry, which we experienced. Then, it has German/central European folk and polka music, etc., and it's a fun experience.
Beer quality overall is outstanding, with great examples of German/Czech lager types, my primary interest in their beers. These tend to be excellent, particularly their Riverwest Steinbeer (a strong Vienna) and the Eastside Dark (an outstanding dunkel). They also have a great IPA and some other good beers as well.
Service is efficient and friendly.
Beer selection is not big and lacks range, numbers, and cask selections. However, it's still a good mix.
Food that we had was great, nothing super special, but well-made, very satisfying food.

We were in town on Vacation. We were at Miller Park for a baseball game. But my team was losing big. So call to see if they still had spots open for a tour. and they did. I cost $7.00 which you get to sample 4 beers and you get a pint glass when you leave. Our tour guide Dillon was a great tour guide. half way through the tour you get to stop and have another beer. This was the best brewery tour that we took in Milwaukee.

Not only do I find this to be the best brewery tour in Wisconsin; I find it to be the best that I have been on. The atmosphere is second to none. while waiting for the tour to begin you get to do one thing that you don't do on all of the other tours...drink. I remember being stationed in Germany while serving in the army. The waiting room for the tour resembled an old beer hall. The tour guide was well informed and answered all questions. We even got to sing Laverne and Shirley's theme song. In addition to a free pint glass you receive, you also get a free Lakefront beer at a local restaurant should you stop on the way home.

Went for the fish fry and got a combo of cod , perch, and bluegill. Food was great and I had four beers between dinner and the tour of the brewery. Its not cheap, but they give you a lot for the money. All the beer was great, especially the East Side Dark and Wisconsinite.

Lakefront brewery tour is rated in the top 10 of the nation for a reason. Great beer. Great time. Unbelieveable value. A must see and worth a trip to Milwaukee. They will pretty much keep serving you until you are properly satiated. For $7 I got the equivalent of 3 beers, plus a pint glass, plus the tour, plus a voucher for a beer at a local establishment.

Lakefront is a pretty tough place to get on a tour.... took me 3 tries (2.5hour + drive)
Packed house every time I stopped by. Crowd is electric.
Drink beer before the tour - nice concept.
Tour is fun, but we had construction going on when I visited so I think we missed out on some things.
Good beer, dirty brewery, nice people. A good way to spend a few beer hours.
