Big head on a bubbly, hazy straw colored body.
A pleasant aroma of straw, bananas and yeast.
The taste has some unbalance to it. Mild lemon bitter, a touch of pear, a little metallic...
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It's not bad, just not that great either.

12oz bottle poured into a Blue Moon weizen pint glass the traditional way by turning the glass upside down over the bottle then turning the bottle upside down in the glass and slowly lifting it up.

AP: Pale straw colour with light gold highlights, can see through the beer as there's no sediment so this has to be a filtered weisse beer. Fluffy white 1" head after pour that dissipates down to 1/4" with some slight lacing when glass is tilted.
AR: Banana, lemon, hay/straw, spices like clove and coriander. Getting bubblegum on the 2nd whiff.
T: Similar to the nose but the bubblegum is more prominent than the banana or lemon. The spices are quite assertive in this with clove, coriander and a touch of allspice as well. I like how they amped the spices in this. Finish is very yeasty.
M: Moderately carbonated, crisp and a bit tingly on the tongue, finishes kind of dry.
OV: It would be unkind to compare this to any true German Weizen/Weisse like Weihenstephaner, but it's decent. Very sessionable, could easily knock off a 6pk on a warm Summer day. Has enough flavour to keep you interested, though it all kind of disappears on the finish. Once you taste the spices on the first sip they sort of fade as your palate gets used to them. Given a choice I'd go with a German over this, but I sure wouldn't complain if this was the best choice of beer at a party or BBQ.

Ordered this on tap to go with a pizza by the movie theater on Friday. I didn't see the pour but it came in a tall Weiss glass with just a small ring of foam around the edge. It was cloudy with a nice straw color.

I got some light Belgian yeast and spice aromas and taste out of this. It was not too carbonated, light bodied, refreshing and a little dry in the finish. The flavor profile reminds me more of a Witbier than a Hefe.

This is a good, light, refreshing summer brew that I would have again. I think this may be a little off style but I think I like it better than most Hefe's anyway.

355ml single bottle. Wisconsin in a bottle, eh? At least it's not from Minhas.

This beer pours a hazy medium golden straw colour, with two fingers of thinly foamy, puffy white head, which leaves little in the way of persistent lace around the glass as it quickly sinks away.

It smells of pale, grainy wheat stalk, gamey yeast, a mild drupe fruitiness, some further citrus zest, and a muddled coriander/pepper/clove spice. The taste is somewhat edgy wheat grain, a more restrained earthy yeastiness, some tame, though weirdly sweet coriander, black pepper dust, and rounded citrus pith.

The carbonation is fairly soft, and understated, the body medium-light in weight, and really quite smooth. It finishes mostly dry, the wheat, fruity yeast and spice conspiring to blot out any aspiring sweetness.

Not a bad Hefe, the constituent (Wisconsin!) ingredients doing well by their native state to produce a drinkable and enjoyable summer wheat beer, with strong allusions to their German heritage. Too bad I didn't get this until the onset of winter up here. Oh well.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

I think my luggage is from Wisconsinite... Anyway, this stuff pours a hazy gold topped by well over a finger of white foam. The nose comprises orange zest, light clove, coriander, and mild banana peel. The taste brings in more of the same, though the banana comes through a touch sweeter here. The body is a veery light medium, with a moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, though not one of the more expressive or defining examples of the style, this is still an enjoyable and tasty hefe.
