The weakness here is we got a lager. This is better than the average lager, but the lager has weaker flavor compared to the good ale pumpkin beers. However, this would do in a pinch. I would like this beer on a hot summer day. It's very refreshing. Goes down well with summer jazz fest music like Joe Zawinul music.

This was my favorite pumpkin beer. I have tried other pumpkin beers (not a lot) but I really appreciated this one because the style of this beer (lager) and the notes of pumpkin seemed to come together really well. At each sip, my sense tells me that this beer and the pumpkins were brewed together from start to finish -- in unity if you will. The pumpkin flavor is not overwhelming but you know it is there when you take a sip. Definitely refreshing and I usually grab a second one.
I have tried other beers - pumpkin ales (not lagers) - that seem to fall short in pumpkin flavor that I'm looking for; it seems it only add a tiny dash of pumpkin pie spice and nothing more. However this may be what it's supposed to be and maybe my preferences are different than others who enjoy pumpkin beers. This beer never fails to please me.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter.
Pours a hazy orange (pumpkin)/amber with an off-white head that soon disappears.
S: Pumpkin pie spices (mainly cinnamon and nutmeg), pumpkin puree and some biscuity malts.
T: A nice mix and balance of spicing, but too strong. It masks the pumpkin until the finish and leaves little detectable malt/grain flavor. Interesting sweet/tart mix.
M: Medium bodied, with a level of carbonation that seemed a bit aggressive.
O: yet another over-spiced pumpkin beer, and this one is of the more subtle lager variety, making the imbalance more of an issue. Nonetheless, the well-chosen mix of spices will appeal to those who like spicy pumpkin beers.

Slightly hazy copper colored beer with a diminishing fizzy half inch head.
Spices in the aroma. Heavy on the cinnamon an allspice. Slight funk, probably from the yeast.
More of the same in the aroma. A little too spicy for me. Reminds me of Christmas time at the mall.
Nice mouthfeel. Medium bodied carbonation feels nice.
This pumpkin ale is pretty average. A little heavy on certain spices, but a decent beer overall.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A- Clear golden in appearance with a half finger of an off white head.
S- A stronger aroma then I was expecting. A lot of pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, and a lot of banana. A nice spicy aroma.
T- A lot of cinnamon in this beer. A bit of apple and banana in this beer surprisingly. A slight bit of pumpkin. A spicy and stinging beer. A lot of flavor and a very clean finish.
M- A very disappointing feel. A sort of silky slimyness. The pumpkin doesn't add as much feel as you may expect from a pumpkin brew. Easy drinking.
O- This is an ok beer. Nothing bad and its different but doesn't push any boundaries.

Lakefront Pumpkin pours a light orange with minimal lacing from a 12 oz. bottle. There’s a very bright and clean aroma; sweet and spicy, full of ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
This beer, at 6% alc/vol, starts off with a pleasant caramel malt sweetness, and moves into some toasted grains and a slight grassiness. You can tell that there’s definitely something going on here besides just the spicing. It finishes dry with a hint of pie spice, but gets a little too lager-y for my taste, especially when mixed in with the pumpkin.
Lakefront is better than some pumpkin beers I’ve encountered. It has an easy drinkability and smooth mouthfeel, but is lacking some of the depth that these beers deserve.

clean copper pour with a finger of head which quickly diminished.
smells of cinnamon up front, pumpkin pie spices and a rich pumpkin seed/guts finish. this is a very light flavored pumpkin beer. nothing too special.. very artificial tasting and mostly sweet. the body is light with a nice amount of carbonation which made this easy to gulp down.
basically just another pumpkin beer, nothing special though refreshing.
