Cracking one of my 3 bottles for my birthday. Poured into my Duvel tulip. 48 cases total came to the US. Amazing. 576 bottles came to the US!
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a crystal clear light honey hue with a massive three finger fizzy white head that resembled soda. That head though sank down into a one finger head that was nice and creamy with some nice slick lacing. What initially was okay became something quite nice.
S - Bright citrus notes with strong lemon, lots more funk than usual. A classic Fantome with more funk/sourness
T - A wash of basement/musty funk. Not really super sour, more like candied lemon and the faintest of alcohol. Faint, faint apples. Mostly just candied lemon and wet hay. The faintest hint of peppercorns too.
M - Mouthfeel is exceptional with lots of bright, sharp carbonation. Works excellent with the tarter Fantome beer.
O - Overall, this was a solid beer. I wouldnt say its the be all end all that some have made it out to be, but it is damn tasty. Might be worth checking out if one can find it reasonable. That said, seeing how limited it was and the bottle price ($30) its probably unlikely.

I love Fantome and had high expectations for this one.
Poured clear yellow, clearly high carb, the head disapates.
Smell is very mild. Smells a bit tart, a bit of Brett funk. Maybe some citrus but it's all very muted.
Taste likewise is mildly tart - I wouldn't even say sour. I imagined this would be "extra" everything, but instead it's "less" of everything I expect from Fantome.
Mouthfeel is spritzy and a bit thin. Not as substantial as Fantome saison, Ete, Printemps, etc.
Overall, not an extra special, extra sour or extra flavorful beer. There was nothing "off" about it. Just nothing that made me want to come back to it.
