poured into my New Belgium Globe..
appearence is good...pours a nice orange..generous head..real sticky lacing..looks good..
Smell is deceent but a bit of a let down..when I frist poured I got a bit of a soapy aroma...as it warmed a touch I got lots of malt, vanilla, and hops..pretty sweet smelling but not the hop bomb I was expecting..
taste is good but again not what I expected..good hop presence, but real big on malt, oak, vanilla...not real bitter to any degree..doesnt seemed real balnced ..but still a good tasting brew..
Mouthfeel is medium..a tad sticky..decent carbonation..
This beer is good, p;retty drinkable..I wold pick it up again..

12 oz can into my Nerax pint glass, served right out of the bag from the store refrig case.
A - cloudy yellow appearance, big yeasty head with lots of lacing.
S - hops are with you from the moment you crack open the can
T - hop bitterness upfront, but a decent malt sweetness. Considering the high ABV, not tasting a lot of alcohol
M - a little chewy
O - nice, well balanced imperial IPA. Compares well with Deviant Dales.

12 oz can was poured into a snifter. Canned 8/6/12.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer and left some nice lacing on the glass. It is a pale orange color with great clarity and bubbles coming up through the glass. More lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Citrus hops, boozy alcohol, caramel malts, and a little oak.
Taste: grapefruit and tangerine, caramel and toffee, mild hop tingly bitterness, and a little oakey.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, a little boozy, low to medium carbonation, medium bodied, and very drinkable.
Overall: Pretty solid DIPA. I would grab another can.

A: Golden yellow with a 1/2 inch head — dissipates to about 1/8 inch — and laces all the way down.
S: Lots of citrus, bits of oak and earth, slight malt.
T: Surprisingly biscuity up front. Quickly gives way to grapefruit and hops. Oaked smokiness masks some of the alcohol flavor near the back. Ends very bitter.
M: Moderate thickness and carbonation.
O: It’s a really nice beer. Not too heavy-handed on the oak flavors, but enough to cover some of the booziness and add a nuanced finish. And you’re never confused about what you’re drinking; definitely a DIPA all the way through. Very drinkable for the high alcohol content, and pretty refreshing, especially near the end of summer. 21st Amendment continues to deliver on the off-the-beaten-path excellence I’ve come to expect from them.
