4 straight from a can. here we go!
Pour is a cloudy yellow. aggressive pour produced over an inch of head that dissipates into a ring of head. I wanna call it a Wit badly.
The smell is, just, no. Corn everywhere. NO.
Now the taste is odd, very odd. Corn and watermelon. I never thought id like it, but I really do. If it didnt smell like hell, Itd be perfect. Theres a nice balance of fruitiness from the watermelon but a definite beer base. Interesting to say the least.

12 oz can into hardywood tulip. canned on 03/26/12.
A: hazy pale yellow. tiny carbonation bubbles can be seen lazily rising towards the surface. head is bright white and quickly dies to a rim of retention. no lacing.
S: lemon. watermelon. wheat.
T: watermelon jolly ranchers right off the bat. a lingering vanilla-like sweetness. finish is almost non-existent with maybe a tiny touch of sugary sweetness.
M: low/average carbonation on a very light body.
D: this would certainly make for some tasty outside summer drinking beer. i would also imagine that it works well with a watermelon summer salad. the watermelon flavor is neat, but wouldnt hate for some more body to back it.

Canned 3/26/12 if that matters.
A: Pours a lightly cloudy light golden with a very fizzy and short lived white head that quickly faded into nothingness leaving no lace. Very soda-like looking carbonation.
S: I get pale notes of cracked wheat with sweeter hints of perfume-like fruit. The nose is light, crispy, and slightly synthetic.
T: A hint of watermelon pokes through light notes of grains and wheat, but it’s really more an essence or suggestion of fruit rather than an in-your-face watermelon experience. The finish is very crackery and the aftertaste is quick and forgetful. There’s something that reminds me of vegetable stew in there as well, although it’s in the background.
M: Carbonation is definitely overly fizzy and sharp like drinking a soda. Once it dies down in my mouth the body is medium but the mouthfeel is a bit syrupy and greasy.
O: Not terrible but not the most appealing beer out there. I cold with a meal maybe, but I don’t need to drink this again.

A - Very unappealing partially cloudy gray gold. Went immediately flat.
S - Hint of the watermelon, otherwise not a whole lot.
T - Watermelon prevalent at finish, but tastes artificial. As the beer aired and warmed the taste really turned south.
M - Thin, very watery, almost no body.
O - Worst beer I've had in a while. I'd like to say its the watermelon but honestly feel it is just a poor quality beer.

Appearance - Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a finger width head, soda fizz poor retention, leaving no lace but a small ring of bubbles around the edges of the glass. Literally like pouring a soda.
Smell - Aromas are faint. Sweet, dirty. More honeydew on the nose than watermelon.
Taste - Like they took a macro light beer and threw in some watermelon extract. Mild wheat pokes out. Watermelon is most prevalent... and then there's the rest of the beer, which reeks of cheap adjuncts. That's not to say it's what's in the beer, but it's certainly the impression it makes.
Mouthfeel - Watery and under-carbonated. There's a slight bite, but it's comparable to a 3 week pup.
Overall - ... And yet, this beer is somehow better than the sum of it's parts. I'll never buy it again, but I'd probably drink it if offered. This is now my 2nd 21st Amendment beer, and both have been big disappointments. Dare I try a third?

A- Can poured into pint glass with a hazy golden body. A two-finger white head forms but you can almost tell it is gonna have mediocre retention because of the fizzy texture. All semblance of the cap dies out and no lace is left behind, juicy appearance.
S- Definite melon note that somehow makes me think of sweet vanilla flavoring. Not much beyond that, just some light malt and yeast hints.
T- Pretty much what the label would lead you to think. A light base beer with notes of yeast bread, citrus and pale caramel malts blended with watermelon concentrate. The watermelon flavor feels more authentic than similar beers using stronger flavored fruit.
MF- Creamy light feeling body overall. High carbonation goes down smoothly. Tiny bitterness but mostly sweets in the finish.
The watermelon flavor is more authentic that I expected but the beer overall just doesn't do it for me. The flavors don't blend all that well and I am left with a clash between yeast and fruit.

A lightly hazy, pale orange colored beer with a smallish white head. Retention and lace on the low side, but still not a bad looking beer. Aroma has a definite touch of watermelon, as well as lightly sweet malt, wheat, graininess.
The flavor is a bit disappointing; the watermelon presence is much lower than I’d hoped, kind of subtle and bland, with more generic grainy wheat and an out of place bitterness in the finish. A touch of bready malt flavor as well.
Medium-light bodied, with lively carbonation, fairly crisp and refreshing. Overall, however, I don’t think I’d buy this one again; the easy drinking quenching appeal of this beer is overshadowed by an unbalanced and lackluster flavor.

Poured into a Pint Glass
Appearance - Very cloudy dark yellow color with a very fizzy head which is typical of most of the wheat beers I've tried. However the head does stick around for quite a while before fizzing out into nothing
Smell - Wheat, lemon, yeasts and a slight sweet and grassy aroma. Hate to say it but I'm not getting any watermelon smells here, smells like a grassy wheat beer really
Taste - There's the watermelon taste! And it's quite rich sweet and it mixes well with the lemon and wheat flavors. It's not perfect but it's pretty good!
Mouthfeel - Light bodied with a mild amount of carbonation. It does feel nice and crispy on the palate, perfect for drinking on a hot day.
Overall - Yeah, it's a novelty wheat beer and I'm not exactly a huge fan of wheat beers but it's a nice crisy beer. The initial smell makes it seem rather bland while the flavor proves that there it does have something worthwhile to offer.

Picked up a six pack on this lovely San Fran early summer day.
Pours a hazy pale wheat color. Fizzes out soon.
Smells of watermelon rind, citrus, some sour wheat, biscuit.
Very light. The watermelon come through in the flavor in and provides an almost creamy like texture, which is cut by the sharp carbonation. Not picking up much hope, but a acidic, citrusy, pale wheat brew. One might go so far as to say this could be almost like a Berliner Weisse with a shot of watermelon rather than the traditional woodruff.
Not quite as complex as I had hoped, but refreshing and perfect hot-day-in the sun brew.

Pale straw color that has the slightest haze. One finger of head that settles to a thin film. Some spotty lacing is left behind on the glass.
Sort of a bizare aroma and flavor. Does not smell specific like watermelon, but sort of a decomposing rind, vegatable aroma. Some sort of spice is lingering in there but I cannot specifically identify it.
Not a fan of the flavor either. Certainly unique. Watermelon rind, lemon, and pale wheat malt.
Solid, light body of a wheat ale. Well matched carbonation.
Not a fan of this beer. A weird aroma and flavor for sure. Finding it hard to finish.

12oz canned on 3/26/12
Pours a very cloudy, very pale yellow, with a slight ring of head. Great unfiltered look. Smell is grain, corn, and sour/rancid watermelon. Very light smell, which is good because what I do pick up is awful. The taste is much better, it's bright fresh grain/wheat with a watermelon twist at the end. The watermelon isn't as powerful as I expected it to be, which is a good thing. Carbonated well, it is a tad watery and has an odd 'plastic' feel to it at times.
A good easy drinking beer for the summer months. A little too expensive, tho.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Canned on 03/26/12.
Appearance: Pours a bright and very cloudy golden orange with lots of rising bubbles. Solid three finger white head that sticks for a bit than fades into a thin patchy layer. Lacing is moderate.
Smell: A sweet aroma of wheat grains and a quite noticeable presence of watermelon. Also some pale malts and hints of other citrus fruits including lemon and orange. Yeasty and somewhat tart smelling. Pretty much smells like a standard wheat beer with some watermelon added.
Taste: Tastes pretty much how it smells. Wheat grains and pale malts with big hints of watermelon juices. Hints of citrus orange and lemon zest. Somewhat sour and tart with a decent yeasty presence. Actually tastes pretty good for what it is. A fairly light taste with nothing offensive.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Crisp and somewhat syrupy. Very smooth.
Overall: I've often seen this sitting on the shelves and being kind of put off by the concept of a watermelon beer, but I'm glad I tried it. It's a pretty tasty light wheat beer that would go great with the summer.

12oz can poured into a pint glass. It poured a pale golden color with a thin head that disappeared pretty quickly.
The watermelon is immediately noticeable in it along with some citrus and wheat malts. I also unfortunately get an unpleasant metallic flavor to it.
The taste also shows a lot of the watermelon flavor along with some rind and vegetable like qualities. A little wheat and citrus are there but the watermelon is overwhelming and just not that good.
The mouthfeel is thin with moderate carbonation. Overall, I just didn't care for it. The watermelon was too dominating and just not that great. It seemed to have more of a bitter rind, vegetable like quality to it that I didn't care for. A little metallic as well. Not something I'd want to try again.

A: Hazy golden straw color. Half a thumb of head with little to no lacing. The head fizzles down very quickly.
S: Slight watermelon tint with a light wheat aroma. Almost off putting.
T: My first sip was quite the surprise. It grew on me quick. A wheat flavor first hits the tongue ,but it is eventually overtaken by an artificial tart watermelon flavor.
M: At first it is a pleasant amount of carbonation to compliment the drink. As it sits it very quickly goes flat. Clean light watermelon finish.
Overall: I came to enjoy this beer. Don't plan to cuddle with it as it will go flat quick. This would be a nice beer to have on a summer day. A little pat on the back. Worth a try if you like lighter beer.

Poured from a can into a weisse vase, the beer is a cloudy, opaque, pale yellow-gold coloring with no head whatsoever. Aromas of tangy sweet watermelon and toasted grains. Flavors are light and sweet, with a strong watermelon character on the forward tongue that gives you a sugary tart profile atop the toasted grain backbone. The aftertaste is light and quick, with a strong watermelon character and tangy feel. Crisp, light finish. This beer is very easy to drink, and great on a hot day. Also goes well with a wedge of watermelon, as we originally had it at 21st Amendment in SanFran.

I had this beer poured from a can into a pint glass.
A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, Almost No Head, No Lacing
S: Watermelon, Mild Wheat, Metallic
T: Watermelon, Pear, Wheat
M: Poor Carbonation, Light Bodied, Mildly Sweet
Overall, this would be a nice, drinkable summer beer but carbonation was garbage and weak.

A- This American Wheat has a hazy yellowish appearance with a low- fast dissipating- white head.
S- Faint watermelon, cheap wheat, and yeast fill the air and a underlying funk that is off putting.
T- A very strange and upfront concentrated fruit flavor that taste more like rotten apples than watermelon. It has absolutely no finish- the flavor drops off into a watery tasteless waste of a beer.
M- Low Carbonation and light body gives this brew a easy drinkin award.
Final Thoughts- This American Wheat is not worth buying twice- it's akward flavor is hard to drink let alone 5 more. Keep trying 21 Amendment- it could potentially be a good beer.

I was in Ohio and we picked up a 6 pack of cans from local store. The beer poured a hazy golden yellow..almost like a farmhouse cider, tiny white bubbly head, with no lacing. There was definitely some melon in the aroma and also in the taste. Malt and wheat balanced the beer in both smeel and taste. The mouthfeel was light in body and good carbonation. Overall a decent beer, probably better served in the summer.

Appearance - Pours a hazy straw color with a decent head the fades quickly.
Smell - The smell is rather offensive. Metallic and watermelon dominate the smell profile.
Taste - Taste is similar to the smell, rather offensive. Has a rather off artificial watermelon flavor mixed with some wheat malt and again a metallic taste coming in at the end.
Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel was not too bad really. It had a good level of carbonation and for its relatively low abv it had a decent body.
Overall - This is a beer I would not buy again.

Looks like a hazy coors, little head/retention. No lacing.
Smell:
A little tart/sour citrus with a touch of watermelon. Not 4 loko, but still a noticeable fruitiness. Smells a little like Mac and cheese...
Taste:
The watermelon is as prominent as is the wheat. A touch of tartness, but mainly the watermelon comes through strongly.
Mouthfeel:
Fairly light bodied beer that has inadequate carbonation by the end. It does have an interesting, watermelon-like aftertaste.
Overall:
This is totally not a mid-winter drink but I'd probably appreciate it on the beach in the summer. A little bit too light of a wheat beer but it's not terrible either.

I poured this one into a shaker pint.
Appearance- This is a very velvety and dense white head. It got to about a finger before slowly disappearing, almost completely.
The body is a cloudy gold with some orange highlights.
Smell- There is lots of wheat. Just a little bit of watermelon flavor, not like real watermelon, but like the extract in watermelon gum. A little weird, but not enough to be off-putting.
Taste- I am pleasantly surprised that the watermelon works well on the palate. It works because it is not overly sweet, and just sour enough to taste like actual watermelon.
Wheat is the base and is also a little more sweet than cereal-like, another nice surprise!
Mouth feel- A lighter body that is a little too fizzy. It makes the drink a little astringent. And too watery for how the bubbles feel on the tongue.
Overall- The taste of a beer is the most important characteristic, and this beer does well in this regard. The watermelon flavor is handled with a steady hand. It is not too sweet, and not too overbearing.
This beer may also suffer from being slightly too one-note, and the feel could be a little smoother.
I say try this one if you can. I will admit I was not excited about this, but it could be a great beer to kick back with on a summer afternoon.

Poured into a regular pint, this one's head is about a finger high, white, and creamy. Head fades quickly and lace is little to none. Color of the beer is light yellow and slightly hazy.
The aroma is really weird to me. Smells like wheat, grains, light malts, mixed with a bit of funky sourness, mixed with artificial watermelon, and sweetness. Strange to say the least. Though not entirely bad, not good either.
Taste is a bit better than the aroma, but still not great. Closer to how watermelon tastes, but still seems artificial and watered down. Along with that comes some sweetness and notes of wheat and light malts. That's really about it.
Consistency is crisp, carbonation is light/creamy, body is light, and the finish is short but not gone in an instant. I think the mouthfeel is actually too light overall.
Overall this is not really my cup of tea. An interesting take on a beer, but not something I think I'll seek out again.

I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. Typically with fruit beers you'll get something overly sweet to the point that it just tastes fake. Especially with Watermelon beers, they often just taste like drinking a Jolly Rancher. Surprisingly, that was the not the case here, and while there was a ton of watermelon flavor, it really wasn't that overly sweet syrup flavor. Pretty good I'd say, not something I'd get all the time, but I did enjoy it.

Pour - well, its not pink. Its a tannish-golden color with some suspended (and not so suspended) yeast sediment. Head is a rather thin and this is all a bit cloudy.
Aroma - what I smell most is a sour malt aroma along with some sweetness that sort of reminds me of watermelon as well as honey and powdered sugar. So, not a lot of watermelon-y stuff going on in either the pour or the aroma. Let's move on...
Taste - when I really get my face in the glass and take the first sip I finally get some watermelon flavor and aroma. Its faint and it won't overwhelm you even if you hate watermelon. Its a slightly sour fruity flavor that isn't at all off-putting and it actually kind of works well, in a refreshing sort of way. Nice wheat beer with just enough watermelon flavor to give this a very subtle sour bit.
Overall - The more I drink of this, the more I am enjoying it. I'll admit, its a lot better than I thought. The watermelon flavor is subtle and like I previously mentioned, this is very refreshing. If you are like me and figure you'd probably not like this beer you might be surprised. Pop open a can and remember to be open-minded.
Would I buy more of it? - I wouldn't totally dismiss this beer as it is exactly what it is supposed to be. However, its not a beer that I'd find myself drinking a lot of the time. It does sort of scream to be bought the night before a day of yard work.
