Poured from can into glass, then said screw it and started drinking right from the can!

This is a really good IPA, though not your true NW style (being from California and all - though some CA IPAs are more along the lines of the hop monsters of Oregon). Really has a malt core that reminds me of Fort George Vortex or El Toro. Fresh hop profile, very green and not too bitter. Really fine and smooth finish highlighting the fresh, green, hop flavors and the subtle malts.

Not my favorite IPA, but a solid brew that is unique enough that I would buy again in a pinch. But great that it is offered in a can.

12oz can received in trade with cfrancis - thanks!

Appearance - Clear golden/amber with an average size fizzy off-white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for around 3-4 minutes.

Smell - Hops, malts, grapefruit, lemons

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste caramel, malts, and hops. There is also some grapefruit, lemons, and apricots. There is also a bit of a corn/graininess. It ends with a malty grainy yet hoppy bitter aftertaste.

Overall – Really good dose of hops, but there is a little bit of adjunct flavour going on. Just a little too much grain/corn taste. Still a good beer, just not as good as the some of the other AIPA's.
