Notes:
Thirst quenching, crisp, with a dry finish, this German Ale (pronounced Cœllsh) is the local brew of the city of Cologne (“Köln” in German). It is one of the palest German beers made and is considered Germany's answer to the British pale ale. Utilizing German malted barley from a malt-house situated outside Köln and dry hopped with outstanding Hallertau Mittelfrueh hops, this light bodied golden beer is oak aged (lagered) for six weeks on French Oak.

Unusually dark for the style. A big, fluffy white head over light copper liquid. Clean toast aroma. Very flavorful toast / cracker malt profile with a light fruitiness. Carbonation is a bit low (although this pour was decanted from a pitcher). Nice take on the style.

Nice sparkling straw color with a tight white head.
The nose was that of grain and grass.
The taste was clean and spot on for the style, it went great with my Korean BBQ short-ribs. This style is tough to get right and Mark seems to have it down.
This was very drinkable and I order it whenever it is on.

Brewed with imported malted barley from outside cologne, and hopped with hallertau mittelfrueh hops and oak aged for six weeks on french oak.
Pours a dark blond color with a thin-head into my pilsner glass. Good presentation
Aroma is full of crisp hops and sweet malt. Just right.
Taste has a slight grassiness from the hops with sweet malt. Dry but not too dry.
Mouthfeel is full of lingering sweet malt mainly. Finishes dry.
Enjoyable and sessionable. The brewer (mark) is skilled at making such styles stand out but not too much.
