On tap at Great Lakes around the end of August.
The beer is golden in color with a small head and some notable cloudiness. The head becomes a film quickly and there's just a bit of notable lace.
Smells of light citrus hops with a nice caramel and crisp malt base. This is certainly an Americanized version of the beer as the hops really give some nice fruitiness and citrus instead of the traditional noble hops.
"Aloha Ale" sounds like it should contain some coconut or something. While it's a relatively lighter beer in terms of flavor, it does pack some focused citrus and sweet malt into a nice little package. Orange, pineapple (is that the Aloha? makes sense), and a touch of grapefruit. Bitterness is light and finish is clean.
Nice carbonation, refreshing body, and a wonderfully clean finish. This beer is a pleasure to drink and I would certainly try it again next year. Another really good offering from Great Lakes, this one steps just a bit outside the box and makes it memorable.

From notes. This was the best of the 3 samples I tried.
Pour is bright yellow, thin white head. Smell is light. Hints of grassy hops and a light malt backbone.
Taste was very balanced and light. Flashes of grassy hops, very light typical Great Lakes grainy malt bill, and a smoothness. I really like the drinkability here. Theres still a good amount of flavor, yet its light and drinkable.
Great Lakes answer to BMC!

I went up to glbc for lunch and decided to get a glass of aloha cause what the hell. this beer is clear yellow with meduim head retention. smell was citrusy to match lots of aromatic hops. This beer is especially hoppy for a blonde ale; its almost like a light american pale ale. It had medium to light body and suprisingly drinkable.
