Tried this one at the pub.
It's a very clear yellow. Surprisingly translucent, and not very dark. Tiny head. To style.
Nose is very mild. Slight must, gentle Euro hops.
Taste is a well done pilsner. Small tastes of farmy malts. Mild yeast strains and grainy hops. Slight hints of a grassy sweetness.
Good mouthfeel; highly drinkable.

Had this on-tap at the GLBC brewpub. Menu said it was 5.1% ABV. Served in a pint glass. Appearance is pale yellow, with a thin white head. Very good retention. Overall, very floral nose, with a little spike of hops. Great balanced flavor: honey sweet plus sweet and citrusy hops. VERY drinkable beer. Could easily down 2-3 of these in the spring or summer.

Appearance - a bright, sunny straw pour into the etched SA glass. A thin white cover of foam threatens to break apart on the surface, but a steady feed from underneath keeps it mostly together for a bit.

Aroma - grainy but clean, a light general sweetness in support with just a kiss of citrus.

Taste - a nice crackery grain opening with some light but supportive sweetness. The hops are classic pilsner style and certainly at their peak of freshness. A breath of floral soapiness, very light, hits at the swallow along with just the right amount of hop balance. Finishes clean, a bit dry with a noble hop finish.

Mouthfeel - light of medium in body, nicely crisp and right on style.

Drinkability - delicious and easily sessionable, though I will understand if those at the GL pub move on to other offerings after this. Much thanks is in order to Greg who brought me a sixer of these. He's not a BA (not even a beer drinker), but has the spirit of one and was nice enough to hook me up with these, and wouldn't even let me pay him! I should have asked for a growler of Rackhouse, huh? ;-)

Stopped up in Cleveland for dinner and a drink. Had the opportunity to try two new beers, this one included, and was very excited.

Appearance- Comes off the type a bright golden translucent straw yellow. Some mild beading up the glass and the thinnest sheet of white head that immediately completely disappears.

Smell- Smells mildly of grass and hay, with just a touch of skunky hops. Not a whole lot going on but pleasant enough.

Taste- More of the same. Some nice grassiness, a little bit of cereal graininess, and some very mild skunky hops. Again, pleasant but not hitting anything out of the ballpark.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability- Mouthfeel is rather thin though okay for the style. Drinkability is pretty decent as well as this one is nice enough to go down easy.

Overall, I can't say that a whole lot was going on with this beer but it was a pretty good representation for the style. If this is your type of beer I could easily see this being sessionable.

On tap at the pub in the Cleveland airport. Pours a vibrant gold color, very clear. White fluffy head disappears after a minute.

Simple aroma, a bit grainy, light cereal grain, with a touch of floral hops in the back.

Clean, slighty bready malt. Just a touch of sweetness up front with some spicy floral bitterness at the end. Pretty clean, but not quite as crisp as I hoped.

A bit full for the style, with lower carbonation. Pretty easy to drink. Enjoyable.

Crisp Golden pilsner with a nice bouquet of Czech hop aroma. 5.1% ABV, 40 IBU. Crystal clear golden color, standard pilsner appearance. The aroma is very well crafted and hoppy, spicy saaz. Same with the taste, grassy style hops, a little hops bitterness in the aftertaste, excellent as a summer beer. Not sure why the six packs are a pub exclusive. I'd guess it would sell well in distribution.

A- Pours a crystal clear gold color with a thin white head. Head leaves some spotty lacing down the glass. Mine was also served in a flute.

S- Not a whole lot going on here a touch of malts, floral hops and a bit of spice.

T- A lot like the nose with a bit more hops than I expected. Its good just not a whole lot going on.

M- Very clean and crisp. Everything seems about right on.

D- Very easy to drink and a good example of the style.

A new beer from Great Lakes. Another on-tap only "pub exclusive." It will apparently be released in 6 packs sometime this year though. Served in a pint glass, this beer is a clear medium golden color with a white head about 1/2 inch when served to me, settling to a nice thick ring lining the inside of my glass along with a nice surface coating. Good lacing too. Has a nice malty aroma with some noble hops and maybe a slight hint of spice and not anything else. The taste pretty much is the same, perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt with a bit of caramel sweetness. Not very complex, but a very good, solid beer that is spot on for the style. Has a crisp, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Very easy to drink. Seek this out once it comes out in 6 packs if you are fan of this style.

Reviewed from notes. Originally consumed 12/21 at the Great Lakes brewpub.

A- Pours a golden yellow color with little to no head in a pilsener glass.

S-I got a whiff of spicy hops and sweet pils malt.

T-Follows the nose with a light hop bitterness upfront followed by sweet almost caramel-ly malt.

M- Light bodied and well carbonated. Spot on for the style.

D-It really is a very easy drinking beer. I went over to the gift shop to try and pick up a six pack of this, but they didn't have them yet. Easily one of my favorite examples of a pilsener.

Served on-tap at the GLBC brewpub. Poured into a pilsener glass.

A- Pours a crystal, clear yellow. Produced two fingers width of white head. Lots of lacing on the sides of the glass.

S- Not much going on here. Small amount of faint hops and some malt.

T- Very nice. The use of hops blended in perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed the malt sweetness in the finish...it wasn't overwhelming, but just enough to provide flavor in the finish.

M- Clean, crisp. Perfect amount of carbonation.

D- Beer doesn't get much more drinkable than this.

Overall, I won't lie, pilseners aren't my favorite and I have had a lot of shitty ones. This one was done very well and had a lot of flavor...definitely unexpected. Another great beer from GLBC.
