$1.69 for a 12oz single @ Bevco. Brewed with Harrington 2-row and wheat. Hopped with Hallertauer and Czech Saaz.
OG=13P, 35 IBU's, 5.3% ABV.
Pours out to a sparkingly clear bright golden, forming a tall whipped and creamy bone white head with amazing retention and beautiful lacing. Moderate carbonation, ~2.5 or so. Appears filtered. Very clear. The aroma is wonderful...a beautiful balance between the flowery bouquet of Czech Saaz and the delicate pils malt huskiness. Wonderful aroma..clean, simple, and sophisticated. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean with a light body. The taste is wonderful as well...a beautiful showcase between the pils malt with nuances of freshly mown hay and light clover honey mingling with a expertly balanced spicy bitterness which lingers just enough to make you want to drink more. I've never heard of a pils brewed with wheat, but it works wonderfully. There is a delicate saltine cracker note. A very crisp and dry finish makes it very thirst quenching.
This is an expertly brewed pils, and I would highly recommend you try it. Right up there with Avery, Victory, and Lagunitas as my favorite pils. I'd much rather drink these ultra-fresh pils from these brewers than skunky Urquell or hop extract Bitburger.

look: 4.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 2.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Excellent carbonation with very good lacing. Straw yellow.
Smell: Very neutral. A bit of lemon
Taste/Mouthfeel: Sour lemon. Extremely bitter lemon rind really overwhelms here. Crisp mouthfeel that works well with bitterness.
Overall Drinkability: Pretty eh for Great Lakes.

12oz bottle into a tulip. best by 8/28/13
Pours a light golden color with a half inch white head. Smell is crisp and refreshing. Earthy and light citrus. Good example of the style. Taste has a bit more hops than a traditional pils, but i'm not complaining. Refreshing and easy to drink. Simple beer but enjoyable. Lighter side of medium bodied with medium carbonation.
Overall a good summer beer that would be hard to dislike for anyone who likes beer. Wont be anyones favorite but hey, it's a pils!

Poured The Wright Pils into a Belgian Tulip.
A - Pours a transparent golden color with two fingers of white head.
S - Getting a light citrus, faint hops, very light bread qualities. Some sourness in their as well.
T - Some more fresh baked bread flavor in there. Sour, almost skunkiness in there too. This fits in there pretty nicely. Light hop flavor to balance things out.
M - Smooth beer, a little heavier than expected for a Pils. Medium carbonation.
O - A decent Czech Pilsener, hits all the notes. Great Lakes again does a good job.
Recommended! Cheers!
