Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip glass. The color is translucent and golden. The head is pure white and fairly large at first, almost overflowing but settles down rather small.

The smell is full of different aromas. I note a slight sweetness from the coriander along with some herbs and flowers. There is also a somewhat unpleasant smell near the back, similar to vegetables or something.

A lot of the flavors that I am getting are also what is present in the aroma. There is some coriander followed by herbs and again that vegetable taste. I'm not sure if that is some sort of funk that they added in, or if it is something coming from the chamomile. Whatever it is leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

The mouthfeel is just about right for a Saison. There is a nice carbonation that dances on my tongue and refreshes my thirst. It finishes nice and dry.

A drinkable beer that I was disappointed had additions to it. I feel that while the chamomile lent a pleasant aroma, it may have also added an unpleasant taste near the back end. It had a refreshing finish that I liked, however. Not a bad effort from Great Lakes, but also not as good as I had expected.
