Poured from a 12oz bottle into a snifter. Pours a deep cola black with a light mocha colored head with nice tight bubbles and good lacing. The aroma has a lot of coffee and roasted malt notes, and some chocolate as well. The taste has the same notes as the aroma, with the bitterness of the coffee and chocolate standing out. The mouthfeel is suprisingly thin for a 9% ABV, tasted like a thin 5% outmeal stout. I suppose this makes it highly drinkable and somewhat sessionable, however.

A solid stout from Great Lakes, just disappointed in the feel, felt it was too thin and prickly for a 9% RIS.
