Appearance: Black as night! Beautiful beer. Small, off white bubbles coming to the top slowly throughout.
Smell: toasty caramel meets coffee. I could smell this brew all day. There are also notes of nuts, bourbon, and toffee. Even for someone who is not a big fan of stouts, this beer should still smell great.
Taste: where to begin. First flavors that I tasted were espresso coffee and dark chocolate. Then came a butterscotch/toffee flavor. The final note is a smooth toasted malt flavor. Impressively absent alcohol flavor. Carbonation is well balanced- not too much, not too little
This is a beer that every stout drinker needs to have. Plus, it comes in a 12oz bottle, so I get to enjoy this one a couple times.
