Poured into my Lagunitas mason jar.

An aggressive pour got me a finger of billowy, off-white head. Retention is pretty good, and lacing decently impressive. The body is a clear, deep amber.

Nice malty aroma. Caramel and fresh bread. A light tinge of herbal, grassy hops crisps the smell.

The taste follows the smell. Herbal hops on the front, with prickly carbonation -- very nice, not overdone. The caramel really comes off well towards the finish, especially as the beer warms up, complimented by a sublime creaminess in the mouthfeel. The finish is clean, and punctuated by the light hoppiness.

Great, balanced beer with some nuance.
