A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that died down and left delicate lacing on the surface and down the sides of the mug.
S: There are aromas of biscuit and bready malts in the nose.
T: Like the smell, flavors of biscuit and bready malts dominate the overall taste.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is very easy to drink and is a good representation of the style.

Served in a flared flute glass at Bauer's Brauhaus.

Sat down at the bar, ordered some beer, and relaxed: Good day at the Brauhaus. This brew pours a clear sallow topped by a finger of white micro-foam. The nose comprises light wheat, very light lemon zest, and light flowers. The taste holds notes of wheat, greens, flowers, and light rice. The body is quite light, with a light moderate carbonation, a nearly watery feel, and a crisp finish. Overall, an okay brew at best, but way too thin and watery, even for a Dortmunder, not to mention the meekness of the flavors and scent.

Stumbled on this beer at a local bar, in a
good beer wasteland, aka Delaware County PA.

Pours very clear, yellow to green hue.
Very smooth and drinkable, taste is well balanced, typical German lager.

Had a nice delciate hop finish, a bit of a
bite, i like this more than a beer such as
Spaten Lager, or Hoffbrau house.

Served on tap in 20oz dab mug. 2.75$!!

Poured from a mini keg into a pint glass.

The color is a clear gold with a slight wisp of white head and some lacing on the glass.

The smell is grainy some slight corn flavor. It has a nice nice touch of hops and a slight malt flavor comes out in the nose.

The taste is smooth with a nice malty backbone that seems to hold this beers sails up. There is nice light noble hop flavor that bitters the taste ever so lightly.

The feel of this beer is crisp and clean. This beer goes down quite easy and is a very drinkable beer. A truly German gem of a beer.

Smooth pilsner, great session beer. Very good beer for heavy or spicy meals. Golden in color, smooth in drinkability. Very low carbonation. Would definitely order again with a meal or just as a nice light beer. Looking forward to drinking a few of these in warmer weather.

On tap at Meier's Tavern in Glenview IL. Just about the only beer worth mentioning there, besides Hacker-Pschorr. They have a 1 liter stein available, if you choose to use it.

Anyhow, dimpled mug, frothy head, golden body. The foam lasts forever, and the beer takes a good half hour to kill. Sort of a honeyish pale malt flavor, sweet ritz cracker minus the butter, no hops. Crisp and clean, so important and signature to a German lager. Fuller than your average lager, and very smooth and easy drinking. A no-brainer type malted beverage, it pairs so well with the house Reuben here, give it a try...

From a 5L mini keg

The pour into my Spaten becker raises an enormous head, since I'm starting this review from the second glass of the keg. Below the sticky off-white head, the liquid is a nice dark golden yellow, and quite clear.

The nose has a nice yeasty, bready component. Sweet, too. Nice!

The taste is mild, slightly metallic, bready, with a slight herbal hop finish. It's very easy on the palate, but tastes great. No negatives, just not complicated.

The mouth is a bit thicker than expected, with a smooth carbonation level, that I suspect is caused by the mini keg. I'd like to try this bottled.

This is really a fine session beer that I would go back to. It's also a great idea in the mini keg.

Had on draft at the Frisco Grille, Columbia, MD.

A- Pours a nice light gold, with a good snow-white head.

S- Smell slightly of hops, the malt isn't really prevalent.

T- A very refreshing lager, the flavor is clean, just what you would expect from the style.

M- Well carbonated, not fizzy, light t medium on the tongue.

D- A very drinkable lager, this is what beer tastes like.

A - Poured a very bright golden yellow with a huge head. I mean it was really hard to get this one to pour, it was all head. Once it settled it left a nice ring on top of lace and on the sides. But it was essentially a fizzy yellow lager, pretty average.

S - Aroma was light, weak would be a better word and rather no descript. It had a light grain aroma mixed with some rice maybe, but that was about it. Nothing too notable here to speak of.

T - Classic german pilsner. Very light and easy to drink. Some nice grain tones, a little bit of rice, but that was about it. Nothing spectacular, but the taste was a good drinker. Crisp, clean, nothing lingering or biting. A classic beer.

M - Smooth, crisp, clean finish, great carbonation, light on the palate. Very good overall.

D - Fanatastic, you could drink this one all night probably, and we did. Never filled you up or made a bad sip.

Overall a classic german drinker. This was the beer you drank all night long and loved it. Had about 8 glasses and it just did not get old. Loved this one. Truly a classic in its own right, gotta love it

A: Clear, yellowish, macrobrew look.
S: Very sweat, malty. Outside when drinking, so maybe the grass flavors were not from the beer - but not so sure..
T: Malts, some hops. Nothing spectacular, but good none-the-less. No bitterness.
M: Average

Good, easy to drink, but unremarkable. I won't remember this beer.

I picked up a five liter mini keg for a party that I just threw. It pours a straw yellow with medium carbination provideing a nice head. Its smell like its taste is biscuity and sweet, slight hint of bitterness. It has a nice full mouthfeel, rounding out what is a very drinkable beer.

Pours a clear golden with an average lifespan, fluffy white head that sticks well. Bready and mildly sweet nose. Standard German pilsener malts making up the bulk of the flavor with some light floral hops in the finish. Thin with a drab and dull bitterness but still rather drinkable.

Pours a clear yellow straw colour with a ample fluffy white head. Aroma is a bit grainy with some spice and floral hops in the mix.
Taste is crisp and clean with enough hop bite at the end to balance the bready malt in the beginning. Nothing overdone, just well balanced. Mouthfeel is smooth and a bit creamy slick. Good carbonation keeps that in check. Drinkability is high and this is an easy summer quaffer that goes down mighty quick. Great with traditional german food and hot weather.

I had this on tap at the german club in adelaide tonight. The keg was fresh and the pour into a 500mL stein was excellent, a little head but not much, and it lingered.

Colour and clarity was as to be expected for an import lager, no dramas here. There was a hint of spice to it (whatever 'spice' may be), but the strength of the hop character was aroma, most notably however, the aroma was supported by a very strong honeyed flavour to the malt... it gave me visions of malt candied with honey, I've never tasted it this strongly in a DAB before. Sweetness of the malt was threatening to overtake the unassuming bitterness present.

Despite the strength of the honeyed taste it still had a reasonable dryness to it with a good finish, and was definitely a repeatable affair.

One of the most well known German beers, but definiley not the best. I hear DUB is better.
The German bartenter at the club poured it in one hit, foaming all over the place, I grimaced. Seems all the tap beers from the AGA club in the 'Gong have a similar taste. Poured a pale yellow colour with a tight white head that dissipated quickly.
Aromas of hop, yeast, malt and a little bit of fruit.
Tasted quite thin, had a touch of "wheatyness" about it, though they don't brew it with any. Flavours of crisp malt, lingering hop, and a mouthfilling carbonation.
Nice, but I've had better.

How unfortunate that a Bier that was once somewhat revered has come to this. The appearance was about what I expected from this German Pilsener, however it was more pale and less heady than I had hoped. The aroma was that of some wanna-be hops. They were there, in some form or another, but they seemes bottled up somehow...restricted. Perhaps they are not real hops? At anyrate, the flavor quickly followed suit. The flavor seemed pastey, if not almost fake somehow. Sure, this is not a bad pilsener, but I have a feeling they could do much, much better.

330ml bottle poured into a 16oz pint glass.

A - Pours an average pale lager yellow with a fizzy white head and lots of carbonation on the glass.

S - Pretty typical lager. Barley can be made out, with a nice bready base to it. A touch of grassy hops can be made out as well. Simple but unoffensive.

T - Starts out alright, with some barley malt and bready notes, but quickly gives way to green-bottle-skunk and some mild grassy hops. Finishes a little stale and musty. Metallic aftertaste lingers. Not pleasant.

M - Thin body, bordering on watery. Overdone carbonation. While not good, in the end it's pretty typical of the style. A light, peculiar film builds up on my tongue from it as well.

D - While the green bottle certainly played a role in me not enjoying this beer, I can't imagine it was all that spectacular to begin with. Skunked or not, this a sub-par for even a lager. Musty and stale, and basically devoid of any flavor other than skunk. Oh well.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a two finger tall white head that reduces to a medium patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of bready and biscuit malts with just a hint of floral hops.

T: Very similar to the smell, the dominant flavors are those of bready and biscuit malts with a light amount of bitterness from the floral hops.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Easy to drink, refreshing, and a good example of the style. I think that it is a little better from the can than when I have had it from a bottle - tastes fresher.

(Served in a fluted strange)

A- This beer pours a straw yellow body with a touch of haze and a creamy white foam that you could write your name in. There is a sea of microbubbles swirling around in the body.

S- The clean slightly sweet aroma of green sulfur has a flint note to it and some freshly crushed pils malt comes through in the finish and grows.

T- The fresh pils malt flavor has hints of honey malt and a dry finish with a slightly sweet sulfur green hop flavor that lingers only for a moment.

M- This beer has a light crisp mouthfeel with a tight fizz.

O- Even though I describe it as sweet, it is not. There is just enough sweetness to mellow the sulfur and give the malt that fresh flavor. This is very easy to drink by the liter.

Pours a clear golden color with a solid one inch white head that dissipates quickly into a thin half layer of foam.

Grain, corn, and malty sweetness dominate the aroma, which finishes with a pilsner cracker-like scent.

Flavor is comprised of slightly sweet, bready malt, with a bit of skunky flavor leading into a fairly dry finish. The balance is decidedly malty, but there's a peppery note that cleans up the profile.

Body is moderate, with slightly more than moderate carbonation. There's a bit of slickness and a touch of astringency.

Overall, I don't have much experience with the style, but there appears to be a bit of a skunky, light-struck character to it. Malt is a bit forward, with some adjunct flavors and a fair representation of hops to keep it interesting.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass after consuming another beer from this brewery.

Dab Original has a amber color with some lighter spots here and there. Alot of rising bubbles create a nice looking tan but unsturdy head that fades into some small patches. No lacing from this. The smell consists of grain, barley hops and some earthy hops. The hops come out in taste a bit more with a nice sweet malt backdrop and light floral arrangements. Some bisquits in the middle with yeast taste finishing it out. The feel is light crisp and refreshing on this hot day, A bit of a bite from the carb and some hop taste sticks on the tounge a bit. All in all a beer I would grab if I needed a beer.

This beer pours a clear light gold color. The head is a half in of bright white foam that recedes quickly into a small cap of lacing. The aroma is of corn with a slight sweetness. The taste is a touch sweeter than the aroma, but it is more of an adjunct sweetness than a malt sweetness. The mouthfeel is thin with a watery texture, and aggressive carbonation. Overall, this beer tastes more like an adjunct lager than a Dortmunder, and its not even a good adjunct lager. I can't see myself drinking this again.
