Appearance: pours a deep, reddish brown. Pleasant color.
Smell: a smokiness that reminds me more of ham and sausage than firewood and tar. Got a hint of chocolate and a little salty note. A very nice smell. Intriguing.
Taste: earthy, smokey and a lot of malt with a bit of sweetness to it.
Mouthfeel: rather thin and hardly any carbonation at all.
Overall: It was alright, a bit too light in taste - I had expected more, more boldness, more flavor, more attitude. Not a bad beer though, all things considered.

The beer is clear and dark brown amber, a tan rather uneven but big head. leaving lacing.
Very malty aromas, nuts, sweet bread, some burned bread crust,
The taste starts with sweet brown toast, some fig and orange marmalade. Little bitterness.
Medium carbonation, small bubbles, somewhat watery and an easy dryness.
Not bad, almost a brown ale to me, more smoke and some more hops.

Another Bishop Arms suggestion.
The beer pours a light watery brown without any head, a dubios start that is easily overcome. This is a smoke sessional all the way, light smoke on the aroma and taste. Super easy to drink and totally flavorful but not so much smoke you get tired of it.

The clear liquid is red-brown in colour; the three finger thick foam forms a firm beige head with a crater.
The smell is smoky with notes of smoked ham and smoked fish; there are also sour malt and some hops.
The taste is surprisingly light with a creamy, sweet smoked flavour and notes of rye bread. There is an odd (although very weak) stuffy note that I didnt like. The aftertaste is smoked with a good measure of sweet malt.
I am not really convinced of this one, as it seems a bit timid. And that is not a good thing for a rauchbier.
