this beer is somewhat particular.. . we know that some people as well as good marketing, try to mix beer with a small "twist" of lemon, sometimes is good, sometimes not, it gives the opportunity to decide wether to put lemon or not,. .
But in this case Bahia is a mix blend of beer with lemon.. .
so it tastes fruity, probably not real lemon either, you got a beer sensation somewhere down the road, but is just to much of a mix..

yes is clear, golden color, head, carbonation,.. .but it is really a beer?, for me is a like a copyright trade mark from Pepsi Twist.

It's an easy drinker, but has some flaws. In comparison to other Mexican or Caribean lagers, this one stands up well. It has some malt aromas and flavors, but they are dominated by corn sugars and maybe some sugar cane. The aromas carry a pungent aroma of vegetables and it could be a bit light striken. Flavors fare a bit better; descent sweetness and creaminess for style. Still a cary over with the vegitables and slightly harsh 'bite' in the throat. Hop characters are absent. Overcarbonation keeps the beer from being as smooth as it should be. It is fairly crisp and drying. Sweetness keeps this beer from fading too quickly, yet not as refreshing as would hope.

This beer pours a very light yellow with an okay head. The head is white and goes away rather quickly.

The aroma is surprisingly malty for the style. It aslo has some earthy tones of the malts. I was expecting some off smells and tastes since it came in a clear bottle.

The corn was in the taste but so were some malts. The more I sipped, the more corn I could smell. Power of suggestion maybe.

The mouthfeel was light crisp and refreshing. The carbonation played with my tongue.

Is this a great German or English beer? NO!!! but of course they don't claim to be. For a cerveza this is great. I would take one of these over almost any of the lagers from south of the border. It will go great with Mexican food and chatting afterward. It has its problems, but it has TASTE.

Wow. Jeez. Where to start?

Pours an extremely pale even close to transparent golden tone with no head at all and some carbonation that later on becomes reflected.

The smell may be the worst part to this beer. Oh, wait, where's the beer? You won't feel hops or malt or yeast or wheat here, but rather an intense lemony smell that actually, awfully rather, comes to smell like tuna or some other fish, it's terrifying.

The taste is also embarrassing, to say the best. Ignoring any minimal taste that a macro or micro or any lager (actually any beer) should have, the primary taste here is an awful lemon concentrate that has an amazing resemblance to the taste of 'froot loops' (not kidding here!) mixed with excess water. No hops' bitterness, no maltyness, nothing. The mouthfeel only proves it to be an alcoholized soda, because of its uncomfortably excessive carbonation.

You definetly won't want to drink this. They've tried to have the commercial effect that corona has but have failed horribly. Nothing in this 'beer' is worth trying and I'm glad I threw it out.
