Presentation: 500 ml (16.9 oz) slender brown bottle with info about the brewery on the back label, no freshness date.
Appearance: Cloudy orange with a thick meringue-like cream coloured head, this is due to the vigorous pouring and swirling of the yeast into the glass.
Smell: Pungent aromatic spicy clove with noticeable fruity alcoholic esters. Sweetness from a bready wheat malt character and a faint lemon aroma.
Taste: Sturdy medium body, smooth creamy mouth feel though an ample carbonation holds everything together. Straight forward tickly spicy flavour of cloves with suggestions of nutmeg and faded pepper corns. Hops are nearly non existent and are no match for the spicy character of this brew. Malt is quite sufficient and has a sour dough like quality to it, vague and mellow nuttiness from the yeast rounds out the beer with a complex elegance. Alcohol is evident and warms the mouth and body equally. The raw flavours of this intricate beer give a confusing yet blissful end.
Notes: German wheat in the raw, very robust and in you face. A beer to consume with full respect and enjoy like royalty because this is a trophy brew that flexes for all of the senses.

Props to joemcgrath27 for including this in our most recent trade...
A - Pours a hazy golden colour, finger of head with little retention and no real lacing.
S - Heavy bready malts, hints of clove and citrus rind and
T - The bready malts, wheat and citrus rind dominate with a sour citrus and clove flavour that lingers. Hints of cotton candy and bubble gum also come through.
M - Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dryness.
O - A tasty hefe, solid flavour profile that will easily satisfy your hefe craving. These guys have this style wired and its not surprising that this brew is yet another tick in their line-up that kills it.

Poured into a weizen glass. The beer pours clear golden with a white head and lots of visible carbonation. The aroma is the classic banana and clove smell you get from a hefeweizen along with the wheat. The taste follows the nose. The banana and clove aren't extremely forward, but are there. There's some breadiness from the malt and some back end hop bitterness. The body is light with strong carbonation. The finish is clean and this is a very drinkable beer. This is an excellent beer.

A: Dull gold with almost a miniscule hint of green, first pour is relatively filtered, but I see lots of sediment in the bottle. 1 finger of creamy slight orange tinge head. Medium carbonation.
S: Bready, yeasty, bananas, cloves, Belgian like yeasts, grass, pheonols, orange peel.
T: Wow. Complex, and it tells quite a story. First I get a yeasty burst like Belgian style yeasts much like you'd find in a tripel, then bubble gum and coriander, pheonols galore, back to a yeasty bready light body that's dry and almost champagne like, then again and intense hit of phenols, orange peel, coriander and Belgian yeasts. Little bitterness. Light sweetness throughout.
M: Medium light body, medium high carbonation, dry finnish.
O: I am so glad I found this one, and got it inspite of the price here in China (almost 8 bucks for half liter). Lots of complexity and beauty. I love this brewer, and Tap 6 is one of my all time favourites (their Weizenbock). This one is renewing my interest in Hefeweizens, which I’d lost after so many poor examples of little heard of cheap German imports that I suppose are duping some Chinese.
