Notes:
Schneider version. This brew is the result of the long friendship of Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver and Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler. Garrett had always admired the delicate balance of flavors in Schneider Weisse, while Hans-Peter had long enjoyed the effusive hop character of Brooklyn East India Pale Ale and BLAST! Garrett's concept for the collaboration was that each brewmaster would brew essentially the same pale, hoppy weissbock in the other's brewery, but with different hopping to reflect the local hop flavor.
Dry-hopped w/ Hallertauer Saphir.

A: Pours a cloudy auburn color with tones of light peach and orange. Frothy white head that fades quickly but leaves light lacing on the glass.
S: Wheat and yeast. Some sweet malt, herbal spice and nice blast of citrus & floral hops.
T: Tangy malt and yeast. Herbal with hints of peppery spice. Fruity elements play a prominent role as well, fresh strawberry and ripe banana. Nice hop finish with strong citrus notes.
M: Medium bodied, smooth and creamy, tingly finish that coats the mouth. Great texture.
D: Very nice weizenbock. Not the best I've had, but great flavor and great texture. For 8.2% ABV, the alcohol seems non-existent. I could easily drink a few of these in one sitting.

Appearance: Very cloudy with sediment and yeast clumps; orangish with huge head
Aroma: Very interesting smell; spicy, like a Belgian wheat; orange citrus
Taste: Wow! Very interesting; very hoppy on start with a zippy, spicy, orange citrus mid and finish; very enjoyable, complex flavor profile
Remarks: Definitely one of my favorites so far; like a much better version of Hoegarden. But you have to be in the mood for it.
Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Golden yellow in color with an orangish hue and hazy. Poured with a rich white foam that quickly reduced to a wispy cap that left sheets of wet lacings on the glass. Sharp citrus hop aromas with wheat malt and sweet banana beneath. Creamy smooth feel down the middle with more aggressive, fizzier carbonation on the edges. Tangy pink grapefruit, tangerine and lemon zest hop flavors. Wheat malt backbone with sweet banana, powdery bubblegum and a peppery spicy bite near the end. Finishes with lingering citrus hop and banana sweet aftertaste. A touch of booze sneaks end toward the bottom of the glass. An interesting collaboration brew.

Poured from bottle into tulip. Purchased at Grassroots Market in Jacksonville, FL on business. Pour was very un-eventful...meh. Hazy golden straw color (nice) no head (bad) ...but it is 8.2abv...so...
Smell is good - not mind blowing. Hoppy hefe. Noble hops meet banana and clove crispness. Its actually more hops than I would have thought.
Taste is firstly bitter hop and herbal grassy notes - then some underlying hefe typical banana and clove, but its crisp yet heavy...some spices sine through. Its super easy to drink and pleasant and very very different. Well worth a buy - especially for $5. There is very little you can fault here; and a lot to gain. Well worth it.
