12oz bottle poured into an Imperial pint glass. The date on the bottle reads December 31, 2012 but I believe its a best by date.

A - Small cap of off-white head with some big bubbles falls to a small cap. The beer has great clarity and is a light amber. Small bit of lacing left.

S - Pleasant bouquet of citrus hops is most forward. They also seem to have a melon character as well. Some biscuit malts are there but understated.

T - Malt has a better edge here with some toasty flavors that hold throughout. Hops still play a big role following along with the smell. The hops are citrus-like but somewhat earthy. Has a bit of bitterness to it that starts about midway through. Finishes somewhat dry but with a nice balance of hops and malt after.

M - Medium to medium-light body, moderate carbonation, semi-dry.

O - Unsure what exactly to make of this beer. Had a solid aroma with a focus on hop character. Flavor was right there as well but in both fields seemed to be off-balanced. Could have used more malt emphasis and dimension within. Good drinkability but nothing I would recommend or buy again.

A cheap Walmart economy craft style brew.

Appearance:
Decent foamy head. Clings to the glass. Fades quickly. Dark copper color. Light carbonation. Clear. Would've rated it above 4 if not so clear. Definitely filtered and not bottle conditioned. Bummer.

Smell:
Watery, hoppy, biscuit-like aroma.

Taste:
Sweet and bitter. Flavor lingers in the mouth. Tart.

Mouthfeel:
Just right. Good body.

Overall:
Not bad. You get what you pay for. One of my favorite brews at Walmart. Seems somewhat variable from batch to batch.

[Suggested Glassware: Shaker Glass]

The pour was a clear light copper orange with an average (1-2 finger) white foamy head that reduced to a thin cap with fair spotty lacing.

The aroma was extremely mild of a light grain malt, grassy hops and an earthy yeast with a light note of caramel and maybe an adjunct.

The taste was lightly malty sweet with a faint hint of caramel at first, becoming mildly bitter and a tad hoppy towards the end. The flavor was short lived with just a light bitterness left behind.

Mouthfeel was light in body with a watery, dry texture and a medium carbonation.

Overall this was an ultra light tasting brew in every aspect. It reminds me of the light beers on the market today, but with just a little more flavor...

Pours a clear copper color with a thin taupe head. Aromas of sticky bun, malty molasses, and resinous pine forest floor. Quite sweet with a sour wet leaf, woody/pine bark twang. Too drying and overly fizzy for the style. Bought a 6 six and only drank 3. Gave the other 3 away. Not very good.

Never had this beer before, and I had low expectations. However, I was surprised by this beer. I poured two long necks into a 24 ounce mug, and noticed that there was a decent head. This head quickly went away, but there was more of one than expected. There was a little lacing, which I also was not expecting. The color is a decent amber with a little body to it, and the smell is subtle with hints of hops.

The taste is a nice balance of a generic ale taste, and cascade hops. The taste is a little mellow for an amber ale, and it is very, very drinkable. My friend said he noticed some caramel, but I thought it was a little bitter and malty instead of sweet.

This is a good beer, and it is cheap. It also holds up to many similar amber ale microbrews, but is easy on your wallet.
