Poured into a large tulip glass a deeply hazed and milky orange/blonde with a nice looking two finger bone white head that left no lacing as it settled.Citrus fruits, yeasty phenols, and sweet alcohol in the nose,I liked the fruity tones and the alcohol was actually appetizing more than in your face.Starts out with a decent shot of citrus fruit but the spiced phenols play a big role along with fusel alcohol as it wars, thru it all the citric flavors are there wich I liked.Lightly tart and quite alcoholic I have to say I liked this beer, obviously nothing like the "smaller" version I gotta say i liked it more than most of the others.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/4/2014. Pours extremely hazy golden orange color with a nice 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of orange, pear, apple, lemon, orange rind, apple skin, coriander, light banana, floral, wheat, bread, pepper, clove, and earthy yeast esters. Nice and pleasant aromas; with good balance and complexity of malt, spices, and yeast esters. Taste of pear, apple, orange zest, lemon, light banana, wheat, coriander, bread, honey, floral, light clove, and earthy yeast esters. Lingering notes of light fruits, citrus, wheat, coriander, light clove, bread, honey, and earthy yeast esters on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of flavors; with a good malt/spice balance, but feels a bit toned down in flavor for 7.5%; with zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good high gravity witbier. Very nice balance and complexity of flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Appearance: pours a murky orange color with a 1/2 " head that falls apart quickly.
Smell: yeast and a slight musky tones rises from the glass.
Taste: caramel, some hint of banana, a bit of pepper, and a big yeast flavor are most notable. Alcohol provides some warmth.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lint crispness from start to finish. Long lasting musky aftertaste.
Overall: this was an average wit beer IMHO. I assume the higher alcohol and spiciness makes it more of a winter wit. Slow drinking but not overly exciting.

Corked/caged bottle, served slightly chilled in a Duvel tulip
A - pours a murky, bubbly light orange, aggressively poured yields a large head, fades to leave a slight lacing
S - smell is bananas, a bit of spice, little bit of yeast
T - some of the elements of the nose come through, but I get a large amount of almost soapiness - I even switched glassess in case the wife "mistakenly" put my glass in the dishwasher and some residue remained. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
M - Not bad, but I still can't get over the feeling that I was talking back to mom and dad and had my mouth washed out with soap
O - Maybe this was a bad bottle, but for what it was, I can't say that I would recommend this one. I'd be willing to try it again if someone could convince me that this isn't typical.
