Poured into my stash IPA pint glass
Pours a crystal clea pale golden color, thin half finger head, not bad on the retention. Thick strings of carbonation are apparent
Full of cooked grain and just cooked grain
Not much flavor, kinda like cooked rice, faint bitterness, almost zero sweetness
Watery, the forced carbonation combined with how dry it is reminds me of champagne but not quite in a good way...
Overall, not terrible but not good, wish it had more flavor because it is quite refreshing and if it had the flavor to back it up it would be bad at all.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and subdued hay and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with watery grain, hay, and grass flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer with aromas and flavors that get worse as the beer warms up.

33.8 oz can poured into a mason jar
A: Quite a large bone-white head that quickly reduced to about half a finger. This beer is the definition of yellow. Very clear with noticeably active carbonation.
S: Some floral hops. Better than I expected. If I didn’t know better, I’d say this was a respectable Czech pilsner.
T: Whoa. This has almost zero flavor. Neutral. I keep taking bigger gulps as an attempt to discern the flavor, but it’s difficult. There is a very slight bitterness in the finish that alerts me to the fact that this isn’t actually water, but it isn’t much. I wonder if it is some sort of twisted breakthrough that the brewers were able to impart such a nice hop aroma, yet have virtually none of it represented in the flavor. If so, then this is award-winning stuff.
M: Incredibly drinkable, yet almost completely unsatisfying. It is beer right? This is 5%?
O: One of the easier reviews I’ve written as there wasn’t much to write about. The weird thing is that I might actually review it more favorably than some other "real" beers because it is the least offensive beer I’ve ever consumed. The bad ones are at least flavorful...even if I dislike them.

I didn't think I'd care much for this beer. I'm not really a big pale ale dude, but I was given a bottle of the Asahi Super Dry, and I would never throw a beer out without at least trying it. The best way I can describe this beer is a perfect starter beer. It's super smooth, super drinkable. I don't want to say it's watered down, because it packs flavor, and is quite refreshing. I had no problem drinking the bottle at all. I tend to lean toward dark ales, porters, and especially stouts. But if you want a smooth drinkable beer, or want to get one of your buddies into drinking brews without throwing his taste-buds for a loop, pick this beer up.
B+ beer, all the way
